Apparently dark skin tone demon = more visibility.
Itâs like they said itâs better to buy a black car because it has more visibility in night time. 
Peoples who arent aware, in other version you are supposed to be white pale when you transform into a demon.
The way I interpret the cited comment of Roxx is as follows: There are a lot of different skin tones in this version of the game. We wanted to avoid associating a change in your skin tone/hair to very pale white with white hair to becoming powerful (i.e. gain demon form abilities) due to obvious reasons even if it is a stretch (although admittedly gaming journalists have done way worse) and inconsistent with the lore. Of course we canât say that so we say something about visibility.
What I donât understand is why is skin tone even in the conversation, at least in my opinion just making the hair go white keeping your original skin tone would have been a much more elegant solution without a risk of offending anyone.
yeah this is so far the worst thing about our release of the game + the AGS answer on this issue is just⌠weird. Guys maybe letâs make a petition or something to bring back the original demon form? They said they will take community feedback more under consideration. I think itâs the only way. Every one is making jokes of shadowhunters that they look like âcockroachesâ, all of the streamers including stoopz, zeals, saint etc⌠Another thing - pitch black demon is not connected to the game lore anyhow.
So only people in NA/EU have problems identify which form people are in? It doesnât appear to be a problem in other regions of the game? I donât follow the logic.

To be fair there is no logic with this change in our region. 
@Roxx @TrevzorFTW if we will make a petition, and we will have like a LOT ppl signed under this petition - is there a chance that you as AGS team will take this under consideration? Literally no one likes our version of shadowhunterâŚ
and u do know that we have different demon form than any other region right? our version is completly black which makes is extremly hard to see it. whenever i watch atk and i see the white air so u can check where ur character is im getting really envy ngl. stupid change imo
The name/skin changes that are made and implemented in game, why canât they take a vote base on majority of players playing in NA server instead of jus a few of their crew? lol doesnât make sense.

I think you might have issues. The character when changed to demon form is dark BLUE. Why are you bringing race into this?
I think you are missing the point, in the Korean version when changed to demon form you turn pale white with white hair. So my original character, whichever skin tone I picked to resemble whichever race, has to turn into pale white to get demon form abilities. So if I was a gaming ââjournalistââ I could make the claim that âyou have to turn Caucasian to gain demon form abilitiesâ. They wanted to avoid that hence you turn BLUE altogether, which to them is unassociated with any race/ethnicity, lore be damned. Of course by the same game journalist logic there are people suffering from methemoglobinemia/cyanosis that may be deeply offended.
I mean they changed it coz they didnât wanna whitewash Black characters when turing to demon form.
Korea is working on making it so we can customize our demon forms whatever that will entail. (Koreans barely play SH due to being stuck as the same demon form all the time)
