Shadowhunter have problem that need to be adressed and solved

Let’s start with my experience on the class I play 4 ShadowHunter:
Demonic level 10 damage gem and lvl 9 cd LoS-18
-Demonic impulse crit spec Salvation ilvl 1551 all quality accessory 95+ 5x3 (demonic, cursed,grudge, keenblunt, adrenaline)
-Demonic impulse spec swift Hallucination ilvl 1485 quality accessory 85+ 5x3 double build (demonic, cursed/raid captain,grudge, keenblunt, adrenaline)

  • Demonic impulse spec crit Salvation ilvl 1450 quality accessory 70+ 4x3 1x2
    -Perfect suppression( not playing it anymore) crit swift Entropy ilvl 1460 4x3 (it had gems level 7 now he doesn’t have anymore )
    (Other classes scrapper tai 5x3 1475; sorc igniter 1475 4x3 1x2, artillerist barrage 1445 4x3 1x2 :all of them lvl 7 stone)

Problems of demonic impulse:
-Lack of Crit rate. In salvation build while all other transform/hitmaster/costant dps classes (artillerist example since they run the same build) they can hit 75%+ crit rate without problem if they have adrenaline lvl3 because the crit rate buff from the class transformation/engraving is higher DI hits 72% if u have a chad bracelet

example: artillerist gets 40%from engraving+15 %from adrenaline +18-20%crit stat without bracelet Demonic 30%+15adrenaline+18/20%from stat without bracelet ; Damage increase artillerist get’s is 30% from fire power meter + 20% from the transformation engraving Demonic gets 0%

-Swift hallucination kinda solve the problem of crit rate but if u do so u will lack in dmg watch artillerist example

(in regards of the dark version of the demonic form i don’t mind I’m not blind i can see it everywhere and if i need i pop outline)

Perfect suppression: have big problem from skills all beeing multihit on equal dmg x hit that u have to be inside the boss to not lose dps/hits( watch tai scrapper multi hit but the biggest hit is at the end), From damage not beeing competitive ( at least this is sorted with korean balance patch ) and most important the low gauge gain makes it realy unplayable (not hard is just not playable) compared to other back attack multi hit classes.

If u are not main and u just have an alt Demonic i would invite u not to not speak unless u have the DI alt at 1540+. Because up to vykas/clown it’s fine u can even compete for mvp if u have pepega teamate after brel is where u realy start to notice the problems.
And for those that will say " Yes but shadow hunter have a higher uptime" yes on paper but not on legion raids where u have to position to dodge to do mechanich the uptime is way lower and other constat dps class balance this with higher dmg base stat and bigger engraving class buff or a second gauge that buff damage.

Conclusion:
Demonic: Lack of critrate / dmg for the real uptime in raids
Suppression: To much multihit and Gauge meeter gain too low

maybe u get the cool skins but not the dmg

While DI may not be the highest damage in the game. A big part of why many Demonics underperform is poor management of their transformation. Many players do not de-transform during mechs and use DR’d boss states to regain their gauge so they can increase their uptime.

Having 62%(sub70) crit rate before synergy is perfectly fine and many other classes end up in that or even worse. If you think making DI identical crit rate to Barrage is going to suddenly make you contend with that class you are mistaken.

Im not talking about contend to artillerist or mvp i don’t give much about mvp I play the class couse i like if i want mvp i go on the scrapper or the sorc. But to tell that missing 32% of crit while u base all the class on multiple hits and some mid hits is kinda cringe when we watch other classes. I wuld love to know what sub 70 crit rate classes u talk about couse the one i play are all over 75 %
Those u say are good advice but for someon that is new to the class for improve uptime but I personaly didn’t specify it couse i thought it’s kinda the minimal effor to play DI

Main swap or wait another 4 months so you maybe get a buff in the balance patch.

Yes i will go for main swap already prepared scrapper 5x3 sorc 4x3 1x2 and artillerist 4x3 1x2. Yeah no I’m ready to wait even 1year but there must be a feedback of the know issue. I will be fine even with a rework of demon skill and not a buff.

  • A common Striker build is:

Class, Grudge, Ambush, Keen, Cursed

With this, Striker has 20 from Entropy, 10 from Back Attack, 18 from 500 crit stat. That is 48% crit rate before he applies his synergy of 18% for 6 seconds. Once the synergy is applied he goes up to 66%.

  • A common Soul Master RS build is:

Class, Grudge, Keen, Cursed, Adren

With this, Soul Master has 25 from Hallu, 15 from Adren, 18 from 500 crit stat. That is 58% crit rate and she has no crit synergy of her own.

  • A common Blade build is:

Class, Grudge, Ambush, Adren, Cursed

With this, Blade has 20 from Entropy, 15 from Adren, 10 from Back Attack, 18 from 500 crit stat. That is 63% crit rate and she has no crit synergy of her own.
