So after I have played the game 350 hrs, I just discovered the shards are bound to character, there was no any text when you hover over the shards that they are bound, the whole time I was thinking it’s a currency like all other currencies so I was opening all chests on my main thinking it’s automatically available to my alts. I have now over 30k of harmony shards and over 60k of life shards and they are stuck in my tier 3 main and I was desperate to farm more in my alts not knowing that I have that stuck in my main. This is very frustrating and disappointing! Tens of hours wasted! I don’t understand why it has to be bound in the first place! Secondly why there is no any warning about it!
Agree, it also came as an unpleasant surprise to me. Fortunately wasn’t a ton of time but unexpected.
The game is inconsistent when it comes to “currency”. Honing shards are not real currency, they’re a bound upgrade mat that for some reason can be tracked in the same place you see roster-wide gold, silver etc.
I have a sliver of hopium that one day they’ll be made roster-wide and consolidated so will be able to find a future use.
