I closed the north entrance to my cook and forced my guildmates to go through the maze for feast (was entertaining for us since a few couldn’t find the exit for some time xD) and then we found out only gunlancers cannot get through my maze (somehow has a larger hitbox size xD) so had to readjust abit.

I decorate it for fun. It takes a lot of time and gold and I don’t think that there’s any other reason to make it look good than for personal enjoyment. Its a big part of the game for some and its a fun feature.
If nobody ever visits anyone’s strongholds like you say, then I am sure any extra load time is a moot point 
I’m excited to look at other people’s use of the stronghold stuff, since they just had a huge update to that part of the game and I am sure people have done a lot of fun and creative things.
Don’t get me wrong, I really admire the look of your stronghold and the effort you put into it.
It’s not your fault game engine can’t handle it’s own features, and that’s a shame.

The whole game is broken at this point, I’ve been raging about it xD Its awful.
Yeah, but don’t give up and keep up the good work. Looking for other fat SH screenshots as well.

This is what I worked on, kind of before the stronghold update because now my main zone has too many people NPCs and I can’t add anything else lol. All my other areas are pretty much empty. Working on inside house now.
I really liked the pathway idea but it got very expensive fast.

I see the flower spam has caught on.
Added some stuff to the beach, haven’t gotten around to flowering out the Vacant Lot or Farming Site yet.
Also discovered something interesting when placing stuff on the beach, apparently the zip-lines are collision objects. And you can place structures on them.

I recently added a large race track to my remote island which includes features such as a maze portion and a casino! I am still finalizing it but it should be ready later tonight. I still need to start working on thee manor itself but I’m rather proud of what I did on the rest of the island.
