Below are simple suggestions to the daily homework grind that will reduce burnout while still rewarding those who choose to complete daily homeworks every day.
Rest bonus is no longer lossy (skipping 2 chaos dungeons gives 2 rest bonus)
Rest bonus stacks up to 10 instead of 5
Completing a non-rest bonus chaos/guardian/una gives a roster bound auto-complete ticket for that content of that item level or lower
What this accomplishes:
FOMO on doing every character’s daily homeworks
Allows players to choose whether to complete daily homeworks every day on their main characters to earn auto-complete tickets OR complete dailies on average every other day without losing due to rest bonus
Allows players to play the challenging latest content on their favorite characters then auto-complete the content on the characters that are less enjoyed
Edit: The above changes should apply to the 6 designated gold earning characters only. The idea being that daily grind is easier for the first 6 characters to help the vast majority of players and not have any sort of scaling with numbers of characters beyond 6.
they wont change dailys on chaos dungeon / guardian raid until the game is totally dead - we have to accept that i guess. Otherwise they would have done it already since its so obvious - 90% of my friends didnt quit because the game is bad but because they burned out
or: as chaos dungeon gives the most value/t, i’m doing 6x daily cd on my 6 main chars + raids/weeklies, and all other stuff only if i have time/nothing else to do.
and by the way: they wont change anything which has to do with daily/weekly amounts- because then they have to produce/configure the code which we get from the kr version.
the upcoming roadmap and so on- all they can do is imho to implement the kr version/parts of it faster to our region.
if you want to reduce daily stuff to 1x instead of 2x per day, then the kr’s devs have to implement it in kr first, then we would get this version of the game
Why do people think that cutting dailies in half is going to change anything? The reason you do them is the utter compulsion to keep up with everybody. Its why many people fomo and blame the game because they played 16 hours a day 7 days a week for a full year and get burntout. You know whats going to happen if they cut dailies in half? The population that does them daily already will double down and start doing them on 12 characters instead of 6. Gaining double the rewards pushing the gap even further causing all the fomo andies to do 1 daily on 12 characters instead of 2 on 6. Then you will all be right back here complaining about how doing dailies on 12 characters is to much and they need to set the cap at 6 characters. Sp heres a better solution to stop burnout. Play at your own pace and stop biting off more then you can chew. There will always be someone for you to chase that has better gear or a higher ilvl. In short. Stop blaming the game because you lack impulse control
To those saying “play less”, this doesn’t address the issue of the rapid pace of vertical content being released in the west. Many players have 3-6 high investment, high item level characters that will need nearly daily chaos dungeons in order to participate in the latest vertical content upon release. (Note that high investment refers to time, gold, and/or real currency.)
The problem being addressed is players who want to play the latest content on their high investment characters having to either play a ridiculous number of boring daily homeworks or choose a subset to bring to the latest content.
And for those with a single main character to bring to the latest content, playing that character and alt characters less means not being able to play the latest vertical content with their friends. To go on a quick tangent here, it’s really difficult for me to recommend this game to any of my friends because of the massive time investment needed to keep up. If a casual player could play a few times a week and keep a single character up on the latest vertical content (for example through the rest bonus changes I’ve listed), that would be massive for opening the game up to a less hardcore audience.
tl;dr: Saying to play less means players can’t play the characters they enjoy on the latest vertical content, so reducing the daily homeworks is one way to help.
That is their choice my friend. THEY wanted to push multiple character up despite knowing the daily grind and despite their favorite streamers actively talking against it.
THEY want to play those characters knowing the end game raid is a long and tedius process if youre not playing with a static.
THEY continue to push more characters knowing they cant handle it and then THEY come crying to the devs that it is now to much. Can you name one mmo that allows you to play a few hours a week while keeping up while being geared enough to do the newest and latest content the day its released? At some point THEY need to take some personal responibilty and stop making their bad decisions a game issue and not a personal one.
There is never a need to play content on release and neither to be able to play it on multiple characters. If you want to catch up with the newest releases it’s your choice but you simply cant blame the game for giving you opportunitys in activitys/content.
