Personally, sometimes i get sick of the dailies on all alts so i stop grinding them for 2 days, just do quick stuff on the main , then focus on a bit of horizontal stuff.
In the long run, getting the potions and stuff does benefit your roster.
no need to worry about being 100% efficient on all characters, take breaks here and there to change to pace a bit, the game sould be enjoyed after all

Well I do enjoy the grindy stuff to a point, definitely more overall than the vertical but i just need to chillax and do it for a change of pace as you said

i have 330 at lvl 55 and all my damage skills are maxed out so I dont really care lol. I’ll do horizontal progression when i need to

Wow I have 360 skill points and thought I was falling behind
just missing 6 from omnium star and 3 from giant heart
Missing Sol Grande and Brealeos island souls, with obviously Yearning and Chuos, 6/14 adventure island souls.
Doing daily for 50th masterpiece and have to finish Neria rapport for 51st.
30/31/30/30/30/34 trades, I’ve been kidna unlucky with leaves. Got only 5 for logging and mining, 7 foraging. Others are at 8.
Finishing Jahara rapport for 40th sea bounty and waiting for Florr merchant to spawn for 41st. Sol Grande would be 42nd and 85 island souls gives 43rd. Final four are shipwrecks.
Did everything except rapport on every continent, just Yorn food left. I finished Umar reputation recently, obviously no meat. Will do it this week, wanna finish everything before Valtan.
384 skill points, 5 million XP off lvl58, so that’s 390. 396 when I clear all the Igneas, just rapport left.

I guess you’re lucky people can’t inspect skill points…Otherwise you would never find a party with just 320 points…
40+ Boxes, no meat. Hits too close to home.
Yeah, I’m not too worried just yet because it will take me a month to finish other continents rapport. My goal is 9 igneas for now because I just want that extra bifrost key. Other rewards are just for show-off.
And I got 12x awakening on lostwind with today’s login bonus, so I’m in no rush for that extra Delain Armen.

Well it’s funny you say that because I’m almost always either cruel fighter or upright fighter for my main taijutsu scrapper and control glaivier. Having more skill points doesn’t translate to actual skill. Also I know I’m not alone, as this post is proven for those that haven’t gotten as many skill points as possible. The game is still really young for us. It makes sense that a lot of ppl don’t have them all lol. Definitely need to chill on the elitist mindset on a game that’s been out for 3 months.
Edit: To add to this. I have proper stats and engravings and have maxed out tripods for our current content on the main skills. Which is FAR better than most ppl I see running around at 1445 with rainbow stats and non-meta engravings, etc.
363 skill points at lvl 55 here, i’m lazy af with horizontal content, find it very boring idk, but stuff like skill points are extremelly necessary and have a huge impact on your whole account
That’s really good tho! I know it’s good lol. Not really the point of the post at all. It’s more so to see how down bad I am. It seems compared to some hardcore forum peeps I’m pretty far behind, but I got time. A lot of ppl trying to do 3 years worth of content in 3 months and nothing wrong with that, but there’s nothing wrong with taking a bit of time to do so either.
