Since you want “sources” of popularity, you can go and check some reddit polls. Search forums to see how many “Aero vs Slayer” posts are. Haven’t seen a poll so far where Aero wins over Slayer in votes, no matter the number of participants.
Want any other sources? Common sense.
And don’t come with the bullshit of reddit community doesn’t represent the playerbase or something similar. If the only data in the internet where people can gather opinions on popularity is reddit or twitch streams, then there’s where the data will be taken from.
This already happened before with another class release. The more you voice your opinion, the more chances it will have to come true, and more people are voicing their needs for Slayer asap be it because its broken or for the other 2 reasons. They outvoiced aero mains and so slayer comes first (on top of probably the big milk before D4 and other releases in summer).

“Go check some reddit polls” is not a source. And if you go of of actuall Data from Loawa Aeromancer is more popular than Slayer. I dont get how you are arguing that it makes sense for them to make 1 group of people wait 14 months for a class instead of making another wait 7 while the group waiting 14 months is smaller.
KR numbers doesn’t matter. Amazon doesn’t gauge popularity by KR standards, and anyone who does is being beyond ridiculous. Our class popularity doesn’t follow the same trend as KR. In fact, people from our version crying on the internet that they want Slayer has more weight than whatever number KR has on any website even if you won’t ever acknowledge it.
Our class popularity is exactly the same as in korea and ive seen like one post of someone wanting slayer before aeromancer on this forum and everyone disagreed. Here is the post
Are you really looking for some logic ? They refused to release a support class (Artist) for one year, when it could have fixed at least a part of the support shortage. They just have no idea what they are doing…

Got to appeal to people’s egos. Since allegedly the majority of the community are from the US… and they have serious problems with their egos.
I don’t understand some folks’ obsession with reasons. This is not a democracy, this is a private company, if somebody happens to wake up and click the release button, it will be. Moreover, having a reason will not change anything. (Before you fart through your brain, that doesn’t mean they are free of consequences).
But then again, for the sake of entertainment, just go back to the basics of marketing. You are the manager, you need to boost sales for the Q2, you can pick between this class and this other one that is clearly a whale bait without any signs of balance so far, which one do you pick?
Based on this? aeromancer first so ppl will be forced to swipe for slayer if slayer is really more popular how some ppl say so here. second class would need to be swiped to be ready for new raids as fast as possible so you will make more money from second class than the first one.

Based on AGS’ official stance, it was a democracy. No one got involved in it though. Otherwise there would be data.
ye but then the may update would feel empty. Personally I trully believe both classes should be released at same moment and let people decide what they want to play.

I never said anything about popularity.
As a fictional manager in my little story based on anything, I would imagine Slayer is the type of class whales push to the top, meaning spenditure per character would be way higher than Aeromancer atm, more than what the average player would on an Aeromancer? Idk, time will tell whether this was an opportunity cost.
Let’s not be deceiving with semantics here, AGS is a private company, end.
