Smilegate AGS it is NOT working 10k+ queues because of BOTS

Update for May 3rd. 5:45AM CST which again at 3:45AM (server time) NA West Valtan. 5.8K queue at login. 1.5hr wait minimum.

SmileGate Studios, Do you find that making legitimate players players wait in these long queues due to your lack of action against the bots, to be a professional decision? If so, please direct all of us casual players to the Person or Team that decided that was acceptable so we may direct our disapproval at the appropriate Team. I honestly don’t care what a public facing CM has to say on the matter as this seems way past bad PR at this point. I would prefer to hear from someone with a grasp and understanding of the technical and real world aspects. Maybe an actual dev or even someone from the team that is heading this whole bot crusade. Not that it affects me but, just wondering why would you not remove the VPN ban across the board when you realized that it had almost, 0 positive net effect on the bots as a whole? If anything, it has increased queue times for your actual player base who do log in and log out, but not for the bots that grind continuously.

Honestly I feel like this is the exact kind of things that the community would like clearer communications with. It should not be as complicated as it is now.

  1. What change is being made.
  2. Why the change is needed and is the change short term or long term.
  3. The options that we reviewed for the needed changes.
  4. The option that was chosen and the reasoning behind that option.
  5. The possibility that the change could be long term or short term also gives the game the ability to be flexible if something has unintended consequences.

And this shouldn’t even need to affect the roadmaps or anything. This is solely for changes made to the game with an understanding that the player-base actually cares what changes are made to the games they enjoy and choose to spend their time/money on.

Communication is supposed to be a 2 way street.
Currently you are driving a SmileGate/Amazon train, and we are just standing on the tracks.
You fly by and drop off some stuff but before the player-base can respond or adjust/review your are gone and the silence(pushes CMs forward) begins again.

This is just sad for a game with so much potential.

It’s ridiculous to wake up and want to do some gaming, only to be stuck behind a 5500 queue at 8am… been almost an hour and it’s only moved halfway. By the time it’s ready to launch I’ll probably have to leave. It’s really making me not want to play.

Imagine Wei card spawns and you login to see 5k queue…

Xd omg this dude , smilegate already did game code , AGS hardcode stuff thats why we get full bugs , how could it posible to get other errors that havent even show on RU+JP +KR version and we are having on NA , the font issue never happen thats AGS hardcoding their stupid stuff , i heard on New world they had same issue oh wow what a coincidence… ( Sure i will educate myself xd , i have played all versions thats why i know, keep beliving what cm’s told u , they are just “slaves” writing the thing they have to write to keep delaying or defending their own company , doesnt matter if they are doing wrong , they have to write whatever it benefits them )

I haven’t logged in for over a week now. I get home from work, eat and take care of some things around the house. Then I sit at the PC, fire up Lost Ark and am greeted by a minimum 4500 queue at 9PM PST on West Coast servers.

Part of me thinks, wow, the game is popular right now. Then I flash back to the starter zones and realize I’m behind a bunch of bots.

Shut off game and watch a TV show instead. I’m not doing this any longer.

Guess you can’t read very well. So if you are calling the CMs liars then why don’t you go make a post and ask that very question, “Who codes the code, is it Smilegate or AGS”. But instead you just keep spreading false information to put the blame of code issues on AGS.

You just look extremely ignorant and trolling, you keep coming back to a post about 10k queues. Saying you played all versions means nothing. Show us some code if you are so skilled in knowing development. As I said you are just ignorant in calling the CMs liars, when they have stated several times they do not have a development team, Smilegate is the developer. Everytime you post you just look more foolish, just move on from the post or go make your own asking who codes the game.

Both Smilegate and AGS are responsible for these 10k+ queues and I am definitely not defending either one, in fact go read above where I talk about this. But you are just ignorant and trolling. You can sit here in my post and keep trolling but you just look ignorant and foolish.

Since you can’t show any code, then let me lightly enlighten you on why there is bugs that are not in RU JP KR. You have code and different branches of code where say Branch 1 (Feiton Pass) and Branch 2 (South Vern) and what they are doing is Smilegate in simplistic terms is taking code blocks or branches of different things AGS or Smilegate or together would like released at a different pace then was released in the other regions. The code they are currently are using for NA/EU might not fully match the timeline of when they patched their code in previously in the past for RU JP KR, so now they have to patch maybe make some adjustment, and this is where bugs can show up. Also they already have coded in things to port this game to NA/EU, how do you think they coded the UTC/GMT timezone offset code. They coded and add this to their weekly update/patch 3+ times trying to get it right.

If you cannot understand how this works, then as I suggest go read up on development, branching, merging, references and updating references, unit testing, and deploying a codepipeline. Otherwise as I said…stop being ignorant and calling CMs liars, stop trolling this post.

day three for me also…bot ques killing my drive to play…im firing it up now…anbd if im qued over 2k again…im stopping for a week…this is insane…

See you next week then? No responses from any of CM regarding this issue. Multiple posts and complaints and zero cares given. This thread alone and not a single response. It’s literally unplayable for anyone with a job. Like it was said before, you get home and there’s a 2hr queue.

I’ve never seen a company(s) blatantly disregard it’s customers like this. I work in the airline industry and if I treated my customers like this, I wouldn’t have customers and no job.

You know why this game is successful in KOREA? Because SMG has great communication with the playerbase. Something that is non existant in this version of the game. We are living a bot fiesta in game and on these forums. Can someone take responsibility and fix this sinking ship.

wow, alarm to do adventure island goes off at 6:40, log on 6000 queue, laugh, turn off computer go do something else.

Smilegate and AGS…another day of high queues…6k+ BOT QUEUE. This is how you treat customers? Gold River are you still in hiding? Smilegate developers are you actually doing something? Where is the communication?

The update/patch notes say nothing about resolving these high queues in NA West and its spreading to other regions. Is this how you really treat your customers?

Alot of us are just about to quit this game, especially if you are expecting us to sit in 5k-10k Queue at all hours of the day. And if you get disconnected 1 time you are back at the end of a 5k-10k Queue. I don’t even know how anyone can defend this? We are not even waiting in queue behind other players, we are WAITING IN QUEUE behind BOTS. This is ridiculous. Seriously Smilegate and AGS, this is the worst fail of a game seen in a long time. And no server transfers cause of Smilegate’s non-scalable code…

So, literally sitting in 2-3 hours BOT QUEUES, while BOTS play your game.
Just tried to login 7k queue. BOTS run your game Smilegate.

Cristalline aura players should have queue priorities, might help to get us connect before bots…

I give af about what anyone says, they gotta enforce ID verification or account termination. Thats the end of it.
Want to open an account? Give your ID, want to keep playing? Very your account with your ID, no more than 1 account per ID, problem solved.

It’s impossible to do that in Europe because of the EU laws. Not sure what the situation looks like in the USA but I would assume it’s pretty similar.
