Indeed they are celebrating. Iโve lost my word when I saw those articles on Korean news websites and yet, they never mention anything about truth behind 800k+ concurrent number. Most Korean readers are not aware of how serious bots are. Pretty sure Smilegate had paid press to publish their success since bunch of same articles were posted on same date and they have exact same context

Another funny thing is that you will get harshly attacked by believers(aka white knights) if you point out most of those numbers are from bots. Here are some examples

You can try to run google translators. I found another article with argue against white knights.
Itโs basically someone who actually plays on our global server and checks forum VS white knights who has never done any of them. (Edit: Also I found itโs exact same white knight on both articles lol)
On Kr forums, anyone pointing out the truth behind steam Lost Ark will get downvoted and attacked by Korean white knights regardless giving them steamdb charts and forum breakdown posts. They refuse to believe those because itโs not official statistics lol

Man, not even AGS has done this gloating on numbers and they are getting thrown rocks on a daily basis yet the other part of the team seems happy with these false numbers.
At this point, the botting situation is too big to ignore. If they are still white knighting this, they might as well be flat earthers or paid actors.
Sadly it is truth that they are white knighting it. They donโt play our server and most of them canโt even read English, so they donโt even have any clue about current state of the game. Yet, they just blindly believe Lost Ark should be holding the greatest success in the world since itโs their favorite game.
Like I said, showing them steamdb charts and reddit/forum reactions wonโt do anything on them since they claim โitโs not officialโ
On top of that, most readers for those articles are just random viewers, so most of them are not likely playing Lost Ark or game at all. So majority of Korean readers will just believe that steam Lost Ark is actually having great success with those number
