Meanwhile we DPSs endured that for more than 1 year…
Because everyone is tryna get their Artist relic set and prepare for Brel HM. There will be a support shortage soon trust me. I mean trust the process lmfao. There is no DPS shortage. A lot of them doesn’t want to carry stranger’s Artist and majority are using the Exchange carries method between friends/guilds. The game has many DPS, lurking, waiting to join a lobby worthy of their might or worthy party to carry them. Put a 1590 dps in a party and you’ll see what I mean 
Of course, because people either play supps or dps. Absolutely unthinkable that many play both and have experienced gatekeeping…
Aeromancer players will find it more difficult to join raids because they are DPS. Supports, as long as they have the 4 right engravings (which are now granted by default) and the proper stats, they will be accepted. Or at least they have a higher chance of being accepted in a raid party.
None of the DPS classes that have been released recently were treated well. Summoners and Reapers, especially the later were severely gatekept. One can argue Reapers are still gatekept XD
As a DPS, you have to invest far more in your class for people to accept you. 5x3 is almost mandatory post-Vykas HM. You also need to be overgeared, cause even if you are 5x3, full lv7 gems and the rights stats, barely anyone will look at you if you are at item level or close. Meanwhile a support can be at item level with 4x3 and the right stats and will get accepted if they have full relic set (which now takes 2 weeks to obtain).
The same goes the other way. As a good geared and high ilvl dps you will be hardly gatekept but as a support it does not matter if you are a ilvl 1480 with 4 engravings or a ilvl 1560 with 5 engravings. People do not care too much and just take whoever applies first. The problem with supports atm is just that there are way too many. If you don’t apply within seconds for a new party in Valtan or Vykas, you have no chance to get invited - no matter how good geared you are.
And btw i had no problems with my fresh summoner back then - maybe there are just differences in regions or it’s like most things in the game → RNG 
Had less troubles gearing my reaper then getting into Valtan and vykass this week to finish yearning for my artist. Seeing 5+ groups with 2 sups sitting in lobby begging for dps to join in title wasnt rare site. Hopefuly it will even out in next few weeks I enjoy playing her but getting into groups is extremly frustrating for someone like me that doesnt have static group or active guild.
Let’s be honest, most players made an Artist because of the aesthetic, when dps players realise that she is just a support and you cannot pump dps they will either drop her or hone her last.
DPS shortage will always be an issue at endgame content. You will probably see 0 artists doing Brel hard week one.

I believe I have the materials to get there but I’m not pushing it. Mine is 1514 atm and will hit 1520 when she gets 3rd Brel piece.
Oh for sure there are a couple, but hardly every B5-6 lobby is flooded with Gremlins looking for a Party like Valtan/Vykas is right now.
I could have pushed 1520 this week but decided to wait, get another Brel piece and just farm B1-4, same as you are saying there.
The group I run with does a great job of splitting up the parties to feed players boxes, so it’ll still be a pretty quick process to finish Brel NM. Maybe 1 or 2 weeks into Brel HM at the latest before done.
Artist is just the flavor of the month right now (just like when other classes came out you saw tons of them as well). The Artist craze will die down some. But for DPS, esp if not fully top ended geared, you have a good shot of not being gatekept right now since they need bodies.

True, I think we just kinda of inherently know that newer classes:
- Don’t have Level 5 Tripods yet
- Are expensive to gear for 4x3+2 or higher if you’re trying to buy gear alongside everyone else
- Haven’t been played to an extent where most pilots are at least effective with it
Relic Accessories will get cheaper once Brel HM comes out theoretically. Whether they do in practice is another matter
Accs are still going for 80k+
There’s a big difference between not being able to find a lobby for little bit because you’re being gatekept or actively in a group and waiting, and not being able to find a lobby for two weeks and probably more because every group has 2 supports before you can even apply. That isn’t even counting the “take what you can get” issue and getting jailed. Of course just making a group magically fixes all problems related to legion raids magically.
Quite a few on my server. A good 1/4 to 1/3 of the artists i see coming to chill in pumika ch1 are 1520+. A few are DPS artist too.Even saw a 1570 one.
Stopped at 1520 for now, waiting for reset to get weapon and try +20 since mats are cheap right now
If you’re looking at relic class accessory, or 100qual 5/3s maybe.
Accessories are already back to being relatively cheap. Not as cheap as 4months ago but still. I was able to buy 95qual+ full set of accessory for 85k excluding class accessory, including necklace.
BiS Relics will continue to always sell for stupid high prices, because the accessory loot pool in Lost Ark is absolute dog water and we do not have a population (per each region) to not have a disgustingly divided market on what little good drops people get.
Yes Ancient accessories will help, but many players aren’t prepared to shell out the cost these accessories are going to be for a long long time to come yet.
You can still make 5x3 with relics which is plenty good enough for your average alt clearing content, nobody needs to blow that kind of gold to push 5x3+1 (or 5x3+2 with a 9/7 stone).
Good Relic accessories will remain very expensive for a long time to come
yeah I been looking for some bargains but a 97 qual Kbw 5, Ambush 3 Spec/crit was going for 100k+ this morning on EUC
I guess depends on what your buying, the Sup accs might be cheaper but then I haven’t looked at them since I geared all mine to 4x3 last year. I don’t plan on Retuning my Sups until Ancient comes out for at least 1 year so I dont pay 100k per piece.
FOMO will mean Ancient accs will be super exp. But like the Legendary accs, it will go down in price in time
Oh i thought we were talking about artist accessories. Yeah dps accessories are and will remain expensive for some combos. Especially a good necklace
