Yeah, that is what people saying for a decade, even when it peaked 13 Million Subscribers.
And don’t even get me started about all those praised “WoW Clones” supposed to beat it, right before they all failed and died
There is no place for a Hardcore-Focused MMORPGs in the market, except for maybe indie developers. And this was literally proven over and over for years now.
Just because people where saying the game is dying in burning crusade or WoTK doesnt mean me saying it started dying after this isnt true
Lost Ark have been a very successful game for many years just for this reason, if you dont like the hardcore then you should go play WoW or FF14 then
the game doesnt need to have 1m+ daily players to be healthy, remember how they expected to have a playerbase of 200k at the launch hype? that would fall? if we hit 200k after everyone who realizes the game isnt for them the game is still ok
Yeah ur right, it will not be, if they remove mechanics which are in the original version of the game, mechanics thats been there for KR for years without problems
Thats the problem people have with this change and dont come to me with this “in KR you can buy boost to t3 instantly and u et mokoko buff that makes u do more dmg and take less dmg”
Yeah, but the game have been out for years in KR so you getting to catch up if u start now makes sense, and a DR and DMG buff wont protect you from oneshots thats now been removed here.
all us “elitists” “sweaty tryhards” are trying to say and want, is that we want the game to be the same as in KR, if KR didnt have oneshot mechanics then we shouldnt either.
and saying that ff14 only caters to casuals is also wrong since extremes and above all have oneshot mechanics, savage+ making those mechanics oneshot the entire raid instead of just you if u f up. Yet they have never needed to remove those mechanics over all the years
so im pretty sure games like these flies here, just not for u, thats why Dark souls is so successful, it doesnt cater to everyone, sure. but enough players
