This! I have no idea where this idea comes that SS deals no dmg. SS deals tons of. I got 6 SS in range of 1460-1500 and they are ALWAYS MVP. Only if I run with a very stacked (and skilled) DB, the MVP goes to him. But every other time, I have not much of a problem
I think its pretty accurate when we consider average player skill level. Db striker, surge, igniter may have amazing trixion parses but if you miss your skills you get out performed by any class in the game. This is especially true on 3 spender db striker, if you miss any of your skills your rotation is pretty much fucked.
I would probably swap deadeye and artillerist spots but maybe artillerist firepower enhancement build brings down average performance of the class meanwhile deadeye is mostly played by gigachads and pisroleer is very-very unpopular in KR.
this is a general infographic of how the class is setup in their design in regards to those keywords, i dont think this has ever been updated to reflect performance relative to all the other classes
I never thought those graphs actually correlate to real time damage.
Those graphs correlate to me atleast more to playstyle like offensive vs defensive.
In this perspective, this list:
T1 Damage; Reaper, Arcana, Deadeye
T1.5 Damage; Artilerist
T2 Damage; Gunslinger, Scouter, Sorceress, Striker
T3 Damage; Summoner, Wardancer, Scrapper, Berserker, Destroyer, Deathblade, Hawkeye, Soulfist, Glaivier, Shadowhunter
T4 Damage; Paladin, Gunlancer
T5 Damage; Bard
Becomes pretty accurate. Ofc Pala + Bard aren’t “defensive tanks”, but they are “defensive support”. (You don’t play Bard/Pala GL in same offensive playstyle as you do a reaper, your throwing in much more defensive buffs and offensive utility)
It also makes your T3 group accurate, as most of those classes in that group, provide quite a lot of off support for the party/defensive support, with a mix of offensive capability thrown in.
They also use similar charts in BDO and it never actually correlated to class strength because that changes every balance patch.
Just more so correlates to what you can expect when you play that class in terms of playstyle, IMO.
I.e high dmg class, doesn’t mean you actually do “high” dmg, it means ALL that your going to be doing on that class is dmg. Whether that dmg is high or not depends on balance.
It could be more clearer I agree, the graphs/charts like that are dumb.
Yeah I gotta be honest here too because the idea of SS doing no damage just is baffling, and I play LC
Like I MVP a lot, however I also put a lot of effort into playing as well as I can
I try to keep my uptime as near 100% as possible and am constantly thinking about my next move as I play
It’s along the lines of “oh you guys are standing to wait for a damage mech to pass? At this range I can shoot Arrow Wave, lets do it” and “if I have a damage ability on CD for longer than 2-3 seconds I’m failing” sorta thing
And I get rewarded for it
I assume it’s the same thing with DS as well
Barring the atrocious changes that are putting the future of the class in limbo aside
It’s a very fun and amazing class with two very distinct playstyles that people sleep on

Yeah, I know what you mean. 100% uptime is pretty much possible with DS and LC I guess, thats why our Trixion dmg is pretty much normal.
Currently I hit 5,5m dps there. I think thats decent for a “no dmg class”.
I also think a big issue that lies with a lot of meta Spec classes is that mediocre play is still rewarding at the end of the day
Yeah you may have played not the best, but your not the best is better than most peoples’ best
It encourages people to never improve because why do they? They do the best DPS as is
And that’s where these balance patches should be heading but it’s nowhere near close at this rate
spec classes suffer the most from missing skills so idk what youre on about tbh

The raids in this game are insanely simple. The people praised this game with hard raids and stuff but after your first clear, its just autobrain. Which is fine and stuff, but that the average DB is enough to deal as much dmg as 80% of the other classes on their best is just trash gamedesign.
Its quite sad. But yeah, I would say: The game feels very seperated from their developer. SG has said so many things and did so much that you are actually thinking: Are they playing their own game?
The SS change f.E. just show that no one of them plays this class and has a clue how to make them better.
That they buffed one of the top 3 DPS classes (Reaper) and immediantly took it back is also a thing… like cmon, do you even know your game?
And the top: Goldriver saying, that reducing daily content would be “the wrong way”… like wow. How much out of touch with your own game can a company be.

When the same people with same hands play the class just numbers alone show how sadge SA dmg is
I really never expected that. I ran like idk, 300~ raids? And in 90-95% I were MVP. I really refuse to think that in all these times, the people were bad.

The DMG of SS never were bad. They were always decent. The meme of no dmg ss comes from a loooooooooong time ago, when the CLass in Korea was hellashit. But they reworked that and then they buffed and buffed and buffed the class.
It is just sad that lost ark doesn’t allow dmg meter… that would give way better insight in these topics. I mean: how do we even decide who of us is in the right?

Because people did use dmg meter in KR and it was smoge…
SS by far the worst hit master class.
But sure if you compare it to all the bottom tier DPS engraving yes SS is ok.
But if that your bar for what is good DPS , then I guess all engraving is just that ok.

EO soulfist is insanely trash, so far nobody in KR has been able to prove it can ever outdamage a properly played arcana, reaper, summoner, artillerist, by a long shot.
And no, it’s doesn’t matter how hard it is. Class is trash and the inven numbers prove it.
Yeah, I heard about that. But iirc (seen some screen) SS did some decent amount of damage. Do you have by chance a link or something for detail data about that?
as far as I know does the best SS in KR around 27m~ DPS. Thats pretty normal. We called Summoner broken when she did 30m dps.
So I am not that sure if the dmg diff is that extreme noticeable. Anyway. I will still stay with my point that SS is a very good class and if you perform good, you will see MVP all the time.
If you put 8 different players in a raid playing the same class/build/tripods/ilvl and everything. You’ll see how much of a difference it is when it comes to “it is the player not the class.” You can be an aggressive player and make a shitty low tier class look good or a passive player that makes a t1 class look like shiiit.
I have never seen a reaper get MVP since the class has been out.
