I have been playing for 3 days, wake up, excited for me happy log in reward. And get an error that states “The selected Region is closed. Cannot connect to the server.” So does this mean I lose all the progress I made? I was almost 90% done with my adventurer’s log in the first area. Or will the server reopen? I’m so confused that a company with the Hype over this game would not have better prepared for the server demand. Who is the CEO? How is that individual still employed? I suspect the Millions they have made off the Founder’s packs will allow them to just laugh at the player base and sit on their yacht knowing they just hooked a bunch of fish like me. Well damn, I was really enjoying the game.

The server will re-open, you will not lose progress made up to this point.

It’s very difficult to gauge demand for the game before launch. I don’t think we should judge the operations team too much for that, considering big names like Blizzard can’t even pull off launches of similar titles without issue (i.e. Diablo 3).

The CEO of Smilegate is Kwon Hyuk-Bin. He was already very successful prior to launching Lost Ark. Unlike most CEOs, he seems legitimately passionate about gaming, having turned down positions at Samsung to instead pursue his dream of developing games, before he knew he would find success with Crossfire and Lost Ark.
Lost Ark is a game that has been active for years in Korea. It has a studio committed to ongoing maintenance and content, as well as backing from a big publisher. The past several years have already proven its staying power. Unlike many Kickstarter or Early Access releases where it’s uncertain, we know in this case… Lost Ark is not vaporware.
Wonderful Response
This very poorly done. And NO. On this game. it was going to be huge. Not hard to gauge. Keep being the voice of allowance for poor service to customers. The CEO is garbage. Never should he allow horrifying disrespect to people that paid $100 to play the game. Don’t you ever talk to me like this again and try to bully me.
Actually stupid response. I still can’t play the game. Don’t respond to me unless you have the game up and running in the next 5 seconds.
No, you will not be playing today.
Overreact much? Its ok. You don’t get to play Lost Ark for a few more hours. When we are 8 hours past the initially time to be up then vent. You and your entitlement and yes before you bring up the money you’ve spent on the game, like most ppl did I bought the platinum pack.
Literally want the basics. Play the game. If that’s entitlement, then so be it. You are a simp.
Not gonna lie… You sound entitled af. “Omg I payed $100 dollars…” So fucking what?! I payed $150 and Im not complaining. GO OUTSIDE GET SOME FRESH AIR. Talk to your friends for a couple of hours do something productive. Relax.
At this point people like you are complaining to complain. First people complain about the server queues, they close the server to avoid the crazy queues, and now everyone wants to complain about closed servers…
Wtf… get out of here. Keep complaining. It will not help them fix the problem any faster.

Do they know how much longer it will be. Im also worried about log in bonuses for if this takes more then a full day ill lose out on a day stright of logging in. And i cant remember if you have to everyday to get all rewards or not. Thank you
Someone has the decency to answer your question and to correct your wild assumptions, and you resort more name-calling. You’re crying and complaining for the sake of wanting to complain about something. It’s like watching a twitter feed.
