Sadly, Smilegate totally abandoned islands and everything related.
And, as you can read from people who never leveled up their virtue stats irl, korean players mostly asked for raids and high-end content, since all they care about is to feel like they’re pro gamers by killing XXverymeanmonsterXX who has all but interesting mechanics.
So, beside the two upcoming new countries, we won’t get any other story content, which is a real waste.
It’s really surprising because story-telling and island exploration is the core of the game and what makes a lot of players love it, but they abandoned these.
It could change with the new studio heads but I wouldn’t get my hopes too high.
Kr adds new islands from time to time. Elgacia alone gonna be a 3 hour story if you G SPAM EVERYTHING. Elgacia even got a second story update.
Rowen also exist and at the time of first elgacia update SG said they were at 15% of what they planned (for the story).
The original game was just that. It didn’t have legion raids. It was just story, islands and minigames.
The game failed to make a profit and had horrible retention, the owner of lost ark basically gave the devs a free pass to go back and redesign the game to be fun.
So while you might like the story-telling and island exploration aspect, it’s not what makes a lot of players love the game. The opposite is in fact true.
Moving forward base on KR releases, I’m afraid all this game got are raids, raids, and more raids. It seems to be dev’s only focus outside of making classes.
I guess the last Ark will be the end of the Game and based on that guessing I don’t think the last Ark will come so soon. Just always new Content/Story like the 2 new Regions.
seems your brain got an “error_404” indeed, “crappy raids” , just because you suck or can’t get the gear and everything right, doesn’t mean the raids are crappy, get a reality check
We never had any of this. Its always “do stupid chore for tokens and mats” from events or shallow as fuck islands that only make you get there for a shitty rng token,
ah! interesting opinion. I am quite critical but for some reason I really enjoy most of the islands. They tell cute little stories and have fun cut scenes.
