Thank you for what? Still providing no information? We don’t even know why the pps are disabled to the best of my knowledge. The general consensus being that AGS couldn’t anticipate exploit by bots, which makes them look like fools, one must have to assume this is either true, or the truth would make them look even worse.

This does nothing to restore faith in AGS.

Note: maybe Roxx doesn’t have such information, but the fact that we don’t have any is definitively a choice made by AGS and therefore the company’s responsibility.

I think not. Better to keep pressuring them to do something or they will just leave it untouched like other bugs they did (for example Abyss Dungeon lobby bug for several months now).

Any half decent gaming company would just patch it in 24h, disabling the gold rewards or wathever the problem is and leaving the powerpass itselft avaliable, compensating people after the problem is solved.

BUT HEY IT’S AMAZON, almost TWO weeks later and ZERO information about it.

I just envy my friends with their powerpass chars 1400+ generating like 5k+ gold a week because they used on day one.

yeah, they could’ve just removed the gold and stuff and let people know or something. Gosh im happy i used the free one on day 1 but i want another to go to punika.

hahahaha Amazon games no longer has credibility it almost hit Blizzard heels, the second game they ruin in less than a year and imagine they are developing another MMO yes of course hahahaha

What enfuriates me more about it is that my whole roster is just waiting for this crap gets fixed since I don’t have any toon below 1370 to activate the hyper express event. I would just powerpass another toon, hone until 1340 and activate it.

I though that some simple crap like this would take a short time to get fixed, and IF WE HAD ANY KIND OF INFORMATION at the beginning that would take a while I would have knowledge transfer and manually hone until T3.

Great tip I have for you is that you can actually ignore the posts about this topic. No one is forcing you to read them. Stop creating problems for yourself and relax with the white knight antics.

Any ground breaking bug or exploit are always dealt in first, and usually 24/48h later they are fixed. Most games who had that dealt with it pretty quikly, I just don’t understand they have zero excuses. It just sound like the whole team have no idea how to fix it and it’s scary.

And I come to this conclusion that they are incompetent because first it take them almost over 2 weeks to fix it, and absolutely zero communication and feedback on it over the course of theses 2 weeks.

Who said I’m creating problems for myself? People asked for an answer and Roxx gave it. End of story no need for any other posts it’s not a hard concept to grasp.

Roxx, I appreciate your responsiveness and communication with the general community. Not trying to shoot the messenger here, just expressing my frustration with the situation.

The community is just tired of the vague communication we get with ongoing problems. To my knowledge, we never received an actual announcement as to WHY the powerpasses were disabled other than “an unintended issue with them.” Thus, people are left to speculate and it only creates more drama. When you combine that with the fact that we’re told we’ll receive an update and the update is “no new updates,” it’s frustrating. We have no idea if this is a quick fix or something that takes time all because we aren’t given any actual information other than “powerpasses are disabled.”

I don’t doubt that the teams at AGS are working on this issue and I don’t expect to receive daily progress reports about what’s being worked on. However, I do expect that we’re given actual information and not these non updates and vague announcements. Again, not trying to shoot the messenger. I know you can only give us what information you have. Thanks for all you do.

the best thing you can do about an issue is acknowledge it before you can even move on, looking the other way would indicate that we feel fine about things like this moving forward and mark my words the community is tired, so yeah, keep telling them its a great job as it becomes the next new world here on na and eu.

i appreciate even the slight breaking of character that roxx is doing and thats how bad the situtation is, even when 0 information has been given but at least it feels like we are talking to a human and not just an automated pre-written response.

That barely counts as an answer. Might as well have said nothing.
They really are gonna keep those powerpasses disabled for who knows how long without even trying to make a workaround first before they have better solution.
By workaround I mean something like:

  • Let people use Vern Powerpass at least (so newbies can have fun)
  • Let people use any Powerpass after 3 days from obtaining it - one way of doing this could be adding item level requirement on the item like 1600 and then running once a day batch script to remove it for people who had it for at least 3 days
  • Let people purchase Powerpass if they didn’t buy any RC in the last 3 days (so less chance of fraud)
  • Make engraving books from Thronespine untreadable (if they are one of the issues)
  • Whitelist people to both use and purchase Powerpasses if they meet certain criteria (like for example they cleared a Legion Raid or spent XYZ in cash shop without refunding)

Instead, they do nothing and they say pretty much nothing about this issue. What a mess of a company this is.
They didn’t even bother to put up any message on the screen that you buy/use powerpasses. It just says “no image” - so damn lazy.

It definitively gives some “give them some slack, it’s a small indie company” vibes. That brings back unfortunate memories.

AGS actually has made the reasons, Power Passes have been disabled.
