Unfortunately if you do that the game tells you that you “need to complete gate 1 before joining gate 2” But when you try to enter gate 1 it tells you “Entry count exceeded”
The mental gymnastics some people are able to perform here in order to justify AGS not just giving a reentrance ticket and calling it a day is kinda impressive. They lose nothing by doing it and the fact that this clearly isn’t an automated process yet is kinda worrying.
This game has some of the most toxic players…
‘You ignored the warning, its your fault.’
So when a warning for maintenence comes up you should just stop playing? I’m sorry but you shouldnt get locked out of the next weeks lockouts after this weeks maintenance, period… Thats backass backwards.
Bots and punishing players for playing the game is why I quit, now I’m glad I did. This game is fun, but waste my time and I’m out.
My view is someone shouldn’t start something when they know maintenance is coming UNLESS they are 100% certain they will complete it in time, like a chaos dungeon. This is just common sense.
To the poster above me, if you see a warning that gives a specific time for the maintenance then yes, you should either quit playing the game or only do something you are certain you can finish or don’t care about if you don’t finish. Again, this is common sense.
Having said that, I don’t agree that their “ticket” so to speak should be used up if maintenance hits them during the time gated content. In a case like this, killing the boss should be what counts as the aura/ticket being used, not simply starting the raid.
So yeah, I agree with the OP, though I think you never should have put yourself into this position and assumed it wouldn’t be designed the silly way it is.
AGS doesn’t care about reimbursing entry tickets to people over “maintenances”. This includes any form of maintenance.
You know what happened to NA West? After the initial maintenance, people started playing, and then they brought Mari down for an “emergency”. They gave us only 1 minute notice, and it was not in the middle of your screen or anything. Nope. It was a single line that only appeared in your chat box specifically.
Every single one of us got disconnected from the server without being able to exit Valtan in time. And they never reimbursed our tickets at all since then.
A lot of people here think AGS is not reimbursing maintenances and it’s fair because they get many hours notice, but the truth is they’re not reimbursing for any maintenances of any sort period. If AGS brings your server down with 1 minute notice next week, then too bad. You will lose your ticket and you will be ignored and you will be convinced by their customer support that it’s your fault for not being able to catch that message and exit within 60 seconds.
To be fair before this I had no idea that it was against the rules to be inside a raid during a maintenance. Its not like they ever communicated that to us. So saying that people who were in a raid during a maintenance that was announced hours earlier deserve to be fucked really isn’t fair. Why would you need to be out of Valtan before maintenance to avoid getting fucked over and losing your reset? it says clearly that a Valtan raid can be tried until completed.
Because they don’t care. It’s that simple. They don’t respect you or your time. They simply here to regurgitate their boss comments.
And if you call them out for their obvious nonsense you get banned from the forums for “creating dissent within the community”
Even though it’s them creating it. That’s how people with 0 respect for their customers/players carry out correspondence.
They don’t want the discussion. All my posts get ignored with decent feedback. But they were sure quick to ban me as a petty response instead when I’m confronted them outright.
The problem is so basic that it hurts my brain to see people defend this. Why does being in the raid when the server goes down for maintenance = lose entry? Straight up. Sure go ahead and blame people for not getting out of the raid when maintenance notice comes up. But it’s weird to me people are ok with the very notion that weekly raid count gets eaten when you get kicked for maintenance. I’ve seen people go up in arms about stupid shit, then I see people actually defend this poor practice. It’s nuts.
Such baby rage when it is 100% your fault. Props for support even responding to your garbage. I wouldn’t.
Where does it say you can’t attempt a boss up until maintenance? Where does it tell you your entry can be taken because you were in the wrong place when the servers come down?
Lol yes, you should. Maintenance isn’t a damn surprise. Don’t wait until the last minute to do shit?
It doesn’t because there are thousands of things that can happen during maintenance, it is not set for specific things to happen you losing entry is just one of many possible outcomes. They give you general warning and say guys we are doing maintenance at this time and shit can happen so be warry. What you do is give a specific scenario and complain. Let me give you a stupid example: When you buy scissors does it tell you anywhere not to put Nutella on it, heat it close to melting point and poke your left eye with it 3 times while jumping? No, try doing that and complain to company who sold you scissors of not warning you about the harmful effects of doing it.
You are an idiot if you think this is actually a good analogy. These forums are so shit I wish I never had to come here and even more so that I never will again.
as i posted in a large read feedback thread SmileGate needs to fix the system to include maintenance rather its timed or emergency doesn’t really matter its still a server disconnect
They literally do not do this, all they say is “maintenance at X time” and “maintenance in X minutes”. They don’t warn about any negative effects or give any indication that players should take any particular actions regarding the maintenance.
AGS sent out tickets for players DCed by maintenance… only for 1 specific maintenance only on the Mari server.
They basically know this is a problem but don’t care and will just ignore it until it’s unfixable.
