So Jagex the Runescape company which is way smaller than Amazon Games company (i think) are able to shut down those biggest gold/botter/trade broker whatever you wanna call it; website.
I strongly believe that AGS or Amazon themself can easily do that against those website by sueing them or w/e with a snap of a finger. shuting down their source consistently means they cant push sales therefore less bots, and less effective for them to bot.
Obviously, we will also need a Bot Busting Team for Lost ark as well, a team that dedicated to ban bots daily, last time i saw 4x sorc 1400 with 4x lv3 engraving runing in sync in chaos gate… how are they not banned yet? please do something AGS.
Some people have proposed many things and Amazon isn’t helping either. Many say that prohibiting gold trading, and that isnt going to work. Some say having a tax on gold, and all taxes do remove demand and the bar of entry. The solution is more expensive way, I have seen this in other games. Most higher transactions are logged. If they sell gold it is usually a round number. Like for example $1 for 1k gold. That should raise a flag in the servers and should be reviewed. Then do what the Russian servers. Let the people buy RMT play, but they will be in the negative. That will really hinder their bottom line.
What does not work, is removing proxies and VPN’s. The reason is that anyone can make a VPN with a Raspberry pi and at home ISP. Another is stop having diversity hiring. Just hire people that know how to do their job. Color of people and orientation is irrelevant.
The other issue is taking servers down is difficult because many servers and domains can in different countries. Each of those countries have their own laws and some might even respond to American interests. International laws are very complicated and they are not as easy. Please fix this. And Abra Kadabra? It does not work that way. Server logs can fix this.
