Anyone can tell me what im doing wrong or is Soulfist as bad as the Tier Lists say ?
I never gave a lot about Tier Lists. Made Soulfist my 1st alt.
I run her now with EO, Dominion Fang Set, kbw3, grudge 3, mass increase 3, adrenalin 3 and EO 1
1480 Gearscore.
+7 % crit card set.
level 5 to 7 gems. working on full 7
almost all tripods at level 3
And it feels like, i am doing sooooo little damage.
Is it the Mass Increase ? Does it get better at 5x3 ?
What can I do ?

soulfist is actually pretty strong
in your build you are missing a bit of damage by not having raid captain, normally you want the build to look more like kbw 3, grudge 3, mass increase 3, raid cap 3, adren 2, eo 1 but even without raid captain you should still deal decent damage
for gameplay we cant have full awakening uptime yet and it gets better with swiftness on bracelet after brel, apart from that EO soulfist is somewhat technical and you have to arrange your spells into your buff window, i personally have a 1445 soulfist alt with the engravings i mentioned above and it does very good damage compared to other alts i had on that item level then (striker, deathblade, gunslinger)
going to lvl 5 tripods also gives you a decent chunk of damage on SF since your damage is fairly spread throughout 5 spells, do you put emphasis on having your energy release active for most of your dps spells and play in hype 2 only except for specific burst windows?
Rotations are pretty easy and your build should be fine. The hardest part is knowing when to go into hype 3 because that’s where you do a huge burst of damage. It could be that you’re not fully utilizing hype 3.
Kbw is a trap and raid captain would’ve been much better, but even so you shouldn’t have damage issues with your build (it’s not a huge difference). I wouldn’t use it even in a 5x3 build - your crit chance is abyssmal. If you ever plan to go 5x3 go EO 3 GR 3 ADR 3 RC 3 MI/CD 3. It’s cheaper and consistent and doesn’t require party synergy to be relevant. Also - if you ever get light of salvation 18 and for weak to light encounter level 12 - kbw drops even harder once you slot out lostwind.
EO 1 is for when the 1 in 5x3+1 is free (ancient acc) and you don’t need to downgrade adrenaline and lower your crit chance to fit in kbw.
EO soulfist is the queen of swiftness classes after relic sets. No tierlist worth any damn should have it as bad. Very versitle class that can adapt to both burst and consistent with a high ceiling for damage.
It’s either an issue with tripods or you are using hype 2/hype 3 wrong. Try to get 6 max level tripods on your gear and build level 3’s from there. Merciless Pummel x3, Ready attack on Energy Release and Energy Blast x2. Utilize the bleed rune, it’s almost unfair how strong it is on soulfist. Use awakening in hype 2 and you should only have a couple of seconds downtime (I don’t use conv + judge). I have galewinds on 5 skills to counter MI when I’m in recovery mode. Cursed Doll would’ve been a better choice.
Go into hype 3 when you know a “break” is coming. Like a cutscene or a long mech (orb mech in valtan g1, pillars in valtan g2, pos + orbs in vykas g2, typing in vykas g3, simon says or find kakul in clown g1, maze in clown g2, your own mario in g3, etc). Your damage in hype 3 is absolutely insane and if you play well enough around it you’ll feel it.

Yes i focus on placing Energy Release before the other abilities, i try to improve on that though, equally on the Hype Level Usage. I try to only go into 3 using the awakening or, like you mentioned, when there will be breaks doing mechanics.
Im using legendary bleeding rune on bolting crash. I do use conv + judge.
So i just try to improve on this little things, since right now i have a stone with KBW, would you suggest going for a good raid captain stone, replacing kbw totally ? I get your point and i had the same thought with the crit rate, since im getting close to light of salvation.

Hmm with dominion fang you’re supposed to start off with awakening (dont use the bomb) and that will give you a 2min dmg and atk spd buff
That will increase your dps by alot
I assume you’re swiftness + crit spec since you’re EO?
Besides that you should only need to practise your rotation, and using hype2 or hype3 as fitting depending on what boss you’re fighting and at what stage (knowledge of boss mechs is essential to perform well as SF)
your awakening is completely irrelevant to your damage with no spec and lvl 1 dominion set and for EO in particular people even opt to full on skip the animation with the pet menu cancel because you lose dps from fully casting it
in other words the decimation ray is better because it casts quicker, you want to not hold it at all, just tap it so you get out of it asap (if you dont want to bother with fully cancelling it using the pet), you pretty much only use awakening to keep up the dominion set effect
Use awakening in hype 2. Don’t go to hype 3 just to use awakening and don’t wait until you are hype 3 to use it.
Always start off by going hype 2-> awakening. The only point of using your awakening is to receive the relic set buff. You don’t do any meaningful damage with it. Don’t hold it, just tap it. Some even open the pet menu to cancel it’s animation altogeher as it takes a bit and eats into your hype window.
Regarding engravings since you are 4x3+1 I would only change when going 5x3. While kbw isn’t ideal it’s only about 2-3% less damage then raid captain
people have this idea to go full attack/damage with just adrenaline for crit cause 1 korean said that. And i understand the build with ancient set, but with relic stuff i just dont understand. I never seen a soulfist with this build going MVP (with similar build from others ofc)
In the other hand, i play my soulfist this way and get MVP a lot >

EO3 cause ofc i wont go 5+1, its too expensive.
With that, a good neck piece 92 quality and deck card +7%, im at 60% crit rate and my crit rate carry way more than pure damage with only 40% crit rate
It’s fairly ok for a budget build. On average it deals only a bit over 6% less damage then MI + RC instead of PD + KBW while probably being dirt cheap and affording slightly more stats from higher quality accessories.
But you definitely don’t deal “waaaay more damage”
Kbw is nerfing your damage. You don’t have bracelet, don’t use korean builds. You need consistent good crit to use kbw. My soulfist dmg is comparable to my other 1472, 5x3 alts. Did you work on tripods? Maybe practice your rotation for a little bit. It’s kind of difficult to learn exactly when to do what in raids to make sure you maximize hype 3.
i do, its my main since a while now, i got 2.2k hours on the game, i think i have the experience to tell. ive seen a soulfist with the exact build u all talk about, the guy was 1490 ilvl with weapon 21 and i dont remember the quality. I got mvp with my shadowhunter 1462.5 ilvl, 4x3, weapon 19, quality 94. And we both had gems lvl 7
that was on valtan HM.
When i saw that, i was like… How the fuck can people play this build with relic set, this is not adapted at all, this is clearly a build for ancient set

Anything is possible if played bad enough. That’s not a good metric to determine build vs build comparison.
Math says 6.2% less damage and more when you have crit synergy.
You don’t have inherent crit damage like an entropy class so precise dagger is not that good

To summarize,
once i go 5x3, what does the majority suggest ? I understood KBW is not good for Soulfist.
If i replace that with RC, i’ll have RC3, Grudge3, MI3, Adrenalin 3, and what should be my fifth ?
Since my next goal is to get this class to 5x3, i would like to plan that, right now im buying grudge books which is a pain on EUC ( 17-18k gold per book ) and Energy Overflow books only cost 2k gold each.
Is it worth buying those books and go 5x3 with EO on 3 or rather another Engraving?
From the gameplay perspective,
i understood to not use the bomb awakening, and use it sole for the buff purpose from the set, maximazing my level 2 and 3 hype management.

Your fifth should be your class engraving.
Don’t try to go 5x3 + 1 unless it falls in your lap. Cost wise a 9/7 stone and two legendary books are definitely not worth it.
Raid Captain, Grudge, Energy Overflow, Adrenaline all 3 and whatever you choose between Cursed Doll and Mass Increase. Just note that the attack speed penalty will make you occasionally hit a skill outside of your self buff window and the 1.7% extra damage isn’t worth it. But cd also comes with it’s own penalty so whatever you wish to get.
Use the ray awakening and just tap it. It doesn’t do enough damage and only makes you lose precious hype time.
Buying EO is perfectly fine and class accessories are expensive anyway so you’re saving gold mpre then anything. But buying grudge is a roster wide thing more then anything so it’s up to you which one you prefer
To add to all usefull comments above, I would say that playing with a little bit less swiftness with a little more Crit (like switching a earing) playing KBW is still perfectly fine.
Aside that, a little story :
I had an in game Soulfist player acquaintance that was worried because he couldn’t get MVP over his Shadow Hunter friend (of same power level) and he didn’t know how to improve more.
So, I asked him what was his DPS in trixion to see if there were an issue about Tripods and/or skill rotation, since I am a Soulfist EO that always get MVP (even against same ilvl players), we could compare with my performance at trixion.
Considering all differences beetwen our both power level, he performed as well as me.
So I told him he should stick the boss more and find more decent Hype 3 windows.
Some days later, he send me a picture of him being MVP at kakul saydon G3 with 39% damage. (Well maybe his friends had less opportunity to DPS)
