To be fair. This isn’t just because of bots. Because the real money is to be made at the endgame and these bots are not even close to that yet.
What is driving these prices up like this is because there are simply too many whales in EU and NA who buy gold. And there is a select few at the top who are profiting extremely hard from this right now.
Just one glance at people spending 4-15k+ gold on a single treasure map (T2/T3) shows that there are too many people who have too much gold already using their creditcard.
Did you see bots at endgame? Did you see bots with gearscore over 600?
If not, I would say AGS has this as much under control as possible. As with every free to play game it doesn’t cost anything to create new accounts. So they can never completely ban them.
What is important here is that they do ban them before they reach a certain point in the game where they can start really making an impact. Right now these bots get banned when they are still in the early game (pre-level 50).
is it just me or is the whole speedhacking thing getting out of hand? i went back to some lower level zones to work on some collection stuff and i´ve seen a ton of people with normal names that are running quests teleporting and warping all over the place.
Yeah, the tools are top tier, but are you using them? Each day that passes more and more bots are appearing and using everyday new hacks, ruining the whole economy of the server region.
Are you waiting for a banwave of 10.000 bots to have a lot of publicity or are you daily banning bots, because I’ve already seen the same bot for 3 days in a row.
Theres a bunch of those running around in Ankumo Mountain at the Closed Border Post. Almost all Berserkers running way too fast, sometimes it looks like they are teleporting moving in the same pattern.
I’m wondering what you are going to do about the insane levels of inflation that will soon hit. It is already pretty bad – it will get a lot worse if you don’t do anything and keep waiting for “top level tools”.
Are you going to manually remove the gold farmed by the bots, or are you just going to let the market go down the drain?
What amazon doesn’t understand is that reporting and manual banning these bots is ultimately useless. The bots are designed to bot disposable accounts in mass up to a certain point in the quest line, then they transfer all the botted gold to a mule account and start on a new batch of accounts after. By the time amazon reviews and bans the botted accounts they already transferred their botted gold and are not even in use anymore. Amazon needs to trace where gold is sent to and from on these accounts and ban all associated accounts. I have screenshots and videos of how these bots function as well as their unique “hack features”. If you would like me to provide images or videos let me know so I can message you privately, I don’t think posting them publicly in these threads would benefit the community in any way, it would only discourage everyone.
tbh i played a loot of lolvl zones yesterday and i havent meet one bot or gold spamer intresting if its just a case of server or did something happend behind the curtain
It’s not just Bezerkers, it’s Mages as well…
All doing the same thing, running along the same track. Some are even on brown horses too. All running very fast.
I believe they blink in or out of different instances of the game. This way being able to more likely to avoid being reported.
while everyone is formulating ways to deal with them, there needs to be someone just sitting there with a ban hammer and clicking heads, they are ridiculously easy to spot right now, they all run the same route, they all have the same gear score, they all have no guild, and a generic random name(or if its near a common name its got xv qd type stuff at the end of it) if i were given that ability id have banned the 200 bots i reported about an hour ago… it took me like 10 mins… imagine that on a larger scale, with a locked server that new accounts cant join… good luck bots!
I logged in on one of my lower lvl alts characters to take a break from my main after hitting 50…holy heck, I thought the bots were bad in the higher lvl zones, but the lower level zone are overflowing with bots zipping back and forth on foot faster than I was on my mount.
Some were cutting through walls in Luterra Castle. Others were just training around in circles like chickens with their heads cut off.
Seeing more bots than actual players in zones was a bit demoralizing. I ended up playing my alt for about 10 mins before jumping back to the “safety” of my main.
How long before the bots reach the lvl 50+ areas, islands, etc.
yeah i stayed up late last night to get a freshly knowledge transferred sorceress into her first chaos/guardian runs for gear… went in at 302 and i was in a 4 sorceress group with 3 bots… i got mvp by doing 70% of the dmg/defeated foes, i noticed after the first portal wasnt accepted properly and the 3 of them just were hanging out firing attacks at my feet (basically coded to attack near the RL player in the group) … lovely …
They are often running just below or the same speed as mounted players in -30 areas. No clue above that. I’ve noticed this a bunch while leveling. They are also lvling because they’re doing the same quests. Almost all of them have no title equipped even at 20+. I’ll basically race one to a quest and beat them by .1 second or they will teleport. Almost like if the game had npc’s running in between quest then respawning.
It made me believe the game had npc’s for a second but realized it’s speed hack with no title on the character.
They are everywhere sometimes even more than real players.
Just by simply running around yourself for 30 min you’ll probably find 10 easily and they are almost always at quest turn in or pickup locations. You’d find a ton at places you turn in a bunch of quests.
Go to loghill, 99% of berserkers are running at mount speed and can dodge 5-10 times further than anyone else. Have even seen some dodge through barricades.
There are hundreds of them in the starting areas. Now I get why the servers are so full
Some of the advanced bots are actually clientless meaning these people can run hundreds of accounts at a time on one machine without using any PC resources whatsoever. These botted accounts are also disposable and have an active ingame life of less than 24 hours, they actually bot quests to a certain point, transfer the gold via ingame mail, then are disposed of and a new batch of auto generated accounts are created for the process to rinse and repeat lol. The only real solution is to detect and block the software the bots are using or a server sided pattern recognition for the bots script/features. Manual banning them is a wasted effort for the team unfortunately considering most of these bots will not even be active in the game by the time the report/review/ban process is over.
