Spirit absorb on scouter is really bad, you have a movility skill wich already gives you bonus Attack/move speed, the transformation comes with bonus movement skill, and the non-transformation also comes with extra move speed, if you want budget engravings i would say go for stabilized status for transformation since you have a 60% max hp shield, hit master is also decent since only 1 front attack skill. For the non-transformation im not so sure but i guess you could go with high crit stat and use spirit absorb as the 5th budget engraving.
Only reason would be to gain full benefit from raid captain, but even then you can get support yearning buff to do that. So no, would definitely not do it, especially if you’re dropping grudge.
I have SA on my glaivier as my +2 since it makes playing pinnacle feel so much more enjoyable. They’re only 1450 and 4x3 +2 so I’m not doing content that requires amazing engravings; I’d most likely change it later, but for now it’s enjoyable. My machinist’s +2 is adrenaline…one more ring and can be 5x3. Too bad those rings are 40k minimum when they’re even on the AH.
Anyways, SA is an engraving I really like, but it’s just not realistic to invest heavily for most classes, especially machinist.
Honestly its so dumb that Attack/movespeed from SA counts towards the 140% cap, classes feel so slow in this game.
If you want extra attack speed, you can use Salvation gear set. The damage output is very similar to Hallucination, as long as you’re not using Keen Blunt Weapon.
Spirit Absorption is very weak on Machinist in raids, since you get no benefit from the movement speed part of the engraving. The only time you might want it is for running around the world solo.
They can for sure. I see 5x3 glaviers with mass increase and no SA and it looks…less enjoyable. Granted, I wanted to have both, but MI was too expensive whenever I looked on the AH.
Being a support and being able to go full swiftness feels great, though.
My point is that you can never be as fast as possible in this game on your own without instantly becoming a troll, truth is even playing at 140% attack speed doesnt feel all that fast, the thing is that classes in this game are slow af especially if they go for spec or crit as main stat so when you compare then you feel like you are actually super fast.
The thing is I am going submachine technology, adrenaline, mass increase, keen blunt weapon and grudge level three, so the question here do i replace grudge and put spirit absorb or awakining or any cheap good thing

What you’re talking about is why I switched from igniter to reflux. My damage will go down, but not being slow is pretty much a requirement for me.
As for going above 140%…hm…Getting to 155% with SA would require them looking at not only Raid Captain, but mechs as a whole most likely. It would feel good, but am not sure enough as to what balance implications there are.
It is sad that being fast is seen as trolling, but usually it’s cause you sac DPS or whatnot. I think it’d be cool to give adrenaline 1/3/5% movement speed at max stacks. Won’t happen, but I’d like it.
I agree, the game is balanced around classes being slow af, wich sucks cuz it leaves no room for people that enjoy being and feeling fast, if you go above 130% attack speed on your own its trolling cuz of sup set plus some party sinergy buffs like deathblade’s.
Its hard to say without proper context, if you are a new player struggling to get gold then i would say for sure dont make grudge and just make a cheap 5th engraving until your roster income is good enough then you can transition to the meta, cuz buying legendary grudge would cost a fortune that you would be better off just investing in pushing ilvl for alts with cheaper alternatives, you could get cursed doll instead of grudge, its cheaper and you wont get gatekeept from it.
There are very few classes that have enough good options. I play my shadowhunter without grudge since release (class engr, keen blunt, raid cap, Adrenaline, hit master). It’s 4% less dmg. Worth it especially in new raids like brel hm now, you are much more tanky and really not a big dmg loss.
Spirit absorb though doesn’t increase your dmg at all, so not a good option. Many classes are stuck with grudge.
You can if you dont want to play any raid in the game because nobody will invite you with SA Scouter.

Oh, you can always go with 5 Grudge / 3X Accessory engraving. They are cheaper than your regular 3 Grudge/ 5x Accessory.
I don’t know anything about Machinist, maybe your build works with Mass Increase.
yea my build has a lot of swiftness (700), and no problem getting mass increase.

Curse doll is not penalizing unless someone can’t play then it will make that class look bad. It’s a universal damage engravings compare to directional or limited skills buffs only. Some players kept saying its not that great just because the boost to Ultimate skills is not “a lot” that the penalty from curse doll is too “great” to use it. It’s still funny when i hear players say “im use to tanking everything” which is the main issue with players in Brel HM atm. Also how many ults limit we been purging thru in Brel Raid, 3 max in every gate. With synergy and other buffs, ULTS hits HARD. Like a SURGE/DOOMSDAY.
i see ur point , my concern is that AT doesnt have push immunity skills and that leads to complications paired with low hp
