Sure delays suck and lack of info can also suck but u gotta think a bit aswell…
Would u rather have buggy updates or more stable ones and if tye reason for delay is the fact that they dont want to release new content before they fixed the fact that botters have started to use infinite damage hax they probably dont wanna announce that and prepare the people using those exploits so they can find a work around before its even fixed.
Most people dont realize u cant just ban bots and be done with it… runescape is a good example, its been running longer than most mmos in existance and there is still a botting problem that is being worked on in the background all the time and no information about it is being released because it would just give them the upperhand in the fight.
I disagree. Only on the communication. Maybe it’s cuz I’m older but i will give people the benefit of the doubt if they just communicated with us.
For example instead of the day the patch is coming out. You could say on Monday that this is our plan for the update but we may only get X done.
And with the forms they need to hire at least 2 more people in EU. Its not like the company can’t afford it or that they haven’t already made money off the game. And this people are only on the forms to answer the questions the best they can. I think this would go a long way.
Have to add. And this is only me. But i did assume since this game had been out for awhile that on day 1 we would have everything from KR. Not a complete new version where ASG would milk money from the game. I do understand the business aspect of this but still feel it’s a bit shady. Think of it this way. We have a lot of play station games coming to PC. So when they released the game to PC they only give us a portion of the game and say the rest will come out in the next few months. This is how I feel. Other may not feel the same and in the end it’s my fault for assuming. Its not stopping me from playing. I like the game. But i can say for pretty certain that i will not be playing this game by Xmas.
Baltan got delayed by a couple of weeks it was supposed to launch two months after release but the Argos outcry definitely bcaused delays and also this patch is two weeks latem that adds up to 6 weeks easily
Contracts would be broken costing SG lots of money and then SG would have to find a company willing to take it over a game that’s past launch (where majority of money is made) and is in a really poor state. Doubtful…
Nothing will save this release due to how many changes it went through to cater to american snowflake cultures.
Blackwash, shitty translations, renaming, content cut, arts changed, and so on and on.
If it was re-released in the west, it would likely be the KR client without changes, just translated. This garbage fire would have to go.
Yes unlike the chinese community who try to kill the directors of the game (honkai impact) and make bullying to VA. Please there are always toxicity in every community, stop saying we are the most toxic lol, all communities have rotten apples.
Disclaimer: I just put the example of chinese community because I knew a lot of cases which they did in honkai/genshi, of course not all the chinese community is like that, this is the same for all communities.
I think the #2 should bother you the most, because without building hype within the gaming community (I mean newcomers, not the actual playerbase), they are just doing the bare minimum to glue what’s left of the original playerbase.
I’m guessing if this game can hold the same amount of concurrent players by the end of the year
