It’s you who does not get it. I am talking about archetypes, and you keep trying to force the discussion around DPS/support. If you refuse to understand and discuss this topic based on archetypes, and actually bother to learn that classes are classified beyond just DPS and support, then you’re the one who is choosing to be ignorant. You are basing the notion that I am being a hypocrite because you refuse to see that classes are classified beyond just dps and support.
I have already explained what archetypes are like 3 times… and you still don’t understand it, then you say that I am the one who cannot comprehend. You’re the one who is being a hypocrite not me.
Don’t bother replying, I won’t respond to you anymore, I have no interest in having to explain the same concept a 4th time.
I can’t believe “artist mains”.
This post isn’t about “don’t realease artist” is more about “the reason artist gives is delusional”.
It’s okey if you want your class to be realeased. Everyone is on the same boat but the real reason you want artist here is because you want to play it not because the game needs another support i hard agree with OP points 1, 2 and 3.
I disagree with the A and B who were less important but more focused by the mad ppl here.
Everyone deserve their class realeased but you don’t need to force a reason that doesn’t exist.
You could argue the archetype artist bring to the game is portals and g interactive bubbles as a support but as a dps use ink which is pretty appealing as we don’t see artist in this kind of game.
I’ll probably made a ghost artist and use it as dps to be honest and i’m not in the realease boat as i already love blade (hate the genderlock) but OP gave facts. Artist should be realeased cause it looks fun not because we need more supports.
You really are funny. Yes, I’m sure I’m the ignorant one and it’s just me and everyone else who disagrees with you who are wrong sure thing, don’t reply if you don’t want too but you really should learn what a hypocrite is when you have a moment.
And yes, my A and B points like I said are less important, and more my perspective. I do agree she does bring something unique in the form of portals, but she is still in the same archetype as Bard and Paladin. Whereas class like summoner is a pet class, and as such it is its own unique archetype. Summoner also provides the defence reduction on enemies, which is a unique party damage increasing modifier, compared to straight up damage boost. But this is just what I think on this point.
Artist has a debuff for enemies (10% more damage taken) and debuffs cleanse with portals casting zone also taking those portal brings players to the artist location.
And having a brush as a weapon fills an artist dream. I wish artist were a male kid with a more giant brush cause that would give me more reasons to play him also it would get rid of the controversy some skins has for artist.
But i am really neutral about releases i have already 3 blades i tend to OTP and i hate the gender lock
T-T.
Artist brings unique things to the game as an artist dream. Everyone who does digital drawings might be more interested in playing artist than any other person and i think the things i mentioned adds to the class being a different “archetype” smile gate just didn’t pulled it right yet.
I still agree the needing more supports reason is delusional tho
Well they should just do what they said they gonna do.
Speed up the class releases
Bring 2 classes per month. Hell space them out every 2 weeks if you have to.
But like this some ppl rly gonna wait a longass time
Your post should’ve been “They already screwed us releasing newer classes like Sorceress and delaying older classes that were here since the beginning, so releasing Artist before them would be even more unfair”.
Not true, to point 1 and 2: I tried maining Bard, but found it clunky, the skills didn’t feel fun to use, I don’t mind not dealing much damage but I just didn’t enjoy using her skills, so I left it as an alt, and I have even less interest on Paladin.
Artist skills seems fun though, so I would be whiling to switch from Sorc to Artist if it came out, SPECIALLY because she can also be played as a DPS, being able to run both DPS and support builds in the same character is a huge selling point, if I ever get tired of support I can DPS and vice versa, even if switching around is a pain or sub-optimal, that’s still a positive to me and many others.
And to point 3, well, if people wanna sit in party finder for another 40 minutes because people wanna play the fun support and they are big babies who will not run with anything but the top meta, then they are welcome to do so, I am sure there will be plenty of groups to join as a support, and if they were that insecure to begin with, perhaps I would be doing myself a favor by not joining that party.
playing support for me is not for the fun but filling needed role. having a support in my team means my mistakes are less punishing and i can focus all on dps. I’m that support. Also alot of supports use matchmaking because unless all 3 dps are potatoes u wont fail any content.
this is pretty common even on my bard alts
Jokes aside, im one of the people who dont currently play support and is waiting for artist to play. And i highly doubt im the only person doing so. There will be a number of people who will either swap to artist who currently play dps because they dont like bard or paladin or will have an artist support alt. So the number of supports in the game WILL go up with her release.
