Thread censorship, or moderation is not the same as transparency… please don’t make that mistake.
A destructive/abusive, or just moronic thread deserves to just be removed. The Forums still have a Terms of Service that needs to be followed.
I’m not sure what threads are being removed, but most really do deserve them… there are known exceptions, of course. Amazon does have a history of removing threads that are insults pointed at them.

“Hey the servers ARE down! This is outrageous, I’m gonna make a thread about it!”
thread gets removed for being the 18th thread in 3 minutes about servers being down
“Hey they’re deleting threads! Censorship is scandalous! Transparency! Outrage! I’m gonna make another thread about it!”
