How about if you introduce 2 difficulties of those bosses:
Easy (you do the changes you’re considering)
Hard (Keeping the things like they are)
maybe the easy can be used as training for the hard one. How about that?
I really, really don’t think a nerf is necessary the game is fun as hell like it is right now, please consider it more carefully or at least make a poll or some info of the changes you’re considering.
While we are always collecting direct player feedback, this decision was not made due to forum threads alone. It was primarily based on in-game data collected about how frequently players are able to find success with this content.
Not for this idea, the challenge is what makes each one exciting. Already adjusted difficulty in a month of release and what’s the limit? Should we just assume that Tier 3 content will be made easier, will legion raids after launch eventually be made easier?
The content should be challenging enough that people can learn and build mechanics, I think we will need a lot more specifics as to how you are nerfing this content. If you nerf it so every single person can clear without learning than what kind of players are you building for tier 3 content?
Roxx, people failing at content doesn’t mean it requires nerfing. It means people need to become more knowledgeable about the game. Content isn’t there to be completed unchallenged. Come on now.
Whole point of progression is becoming stronger and better. I think it will have negative impact on playerbase to make things easier because if everyone can clear everything without putting any effort into it it will demotivate players to pushing themselves more into the game. There are a lot of systems which offers you some boost and if you make everything easier players will just say yea I don’t need this I don’t need to learn that. Which will eventually lead to players quitting the game sooner than later. If they clear everything without any effort what is the point of playing anymore?
From my personal experience 99% of time we wiped because someone didn’t know mechanics and after the player learned them most of the time we were able to clear the dungeon. Players that are struggling now are usually unwilling to learn about literally anything sometimes I wonder how did they even get to that part of content with their playstyle. Also if you nerf it now a lots of players that didn’t clear that content yet will be disappointed because that didn’t even get to try it and achieve something that a lot of others were unable to do.
I should also note that every T1 and T2 raid is soloable for every class except supports at recommended ilevel. I tried it myself on multiple alts because oftentimes it was easier to do it solo rather than in group of players that don’t even know what stagger is.
And if anyone is complaining about abyssal dungs being hard just learn mechanics of your class and boss before you try to go blind into it, because eventually you will have to learn major mechanics or you will get your group wiped until everyone gives up. These dungeons are designed to be hard on purpose to pose challenge to learn about game. If you don’t want to try and learn about hard things then just play chaos dungeons. You will eventually grind higher Tier items and will be able to solo carry everything on lower tier without putting any effort just like you want.
The T1 guardian raids were buffed for NA/EU. If anything they are just reverting something that should of never went thru in first place. T3 Guardian raids even up to fox take 4-5 mins. This is the case for the next tier of guardian raids as well. T1 take 8-15 mins depending on the group because of the buffed hp scaling or slightly faster if people are super over Ilevel. This is daily content that was never difficult and never intended to be difficult. So yes nerfing them by removing the hp buff doesn’t make the fight harder or easier it just removes the time it takes to clear daily content. If you thought any of the guardian raids currently were hard idk. While you can solo them in 5-6 minutes to avoid the horrible MM and extended time it take to kill them it’s also an MMO and some of us rather play with others. When T3 guardians take half the time to kill than T1 then yes that means they obviously need to be readjusted. I’m not entirely in agreement with the abyss changes tho T1 and T2 abyss are already fairly easy. But judging by how easy Seto and albion are atm because of the gearing changes I guess bringing them in line with what you experience in early T3 make sense. I personally don’t care because T1 and T2 content is irrelevant and not end game at all so if you wanna make it faster for me to clear it on alts everyday I’m fine with it. Once we start nerfing Legion commanders and other T3 content is when I’ll have a problem. I think people are over reacting and making a big deal about nothing. Especially certain streamers who’ve never done this content at Ilevel or with randoms and floor POV’d their way through other regions never seeing a MVP screen in their life and act like they know anything about the game.
Made an account just to say please don’t nerf things D: The difficulty feels really good right now, messing up is punishing but everything is absolutely doable and it’s really fun to play - Give people a chance to improve!
Wtf… Obviously, there will be significant failures early on… PEOPLE ARE LEARNING… The game is just released 2 weeks ago, you think you’re going to see high success rates across the board? Give people time to adjust to a new game. Many MMO players are used to WASD and still getting used to mouse controls. You guys really have us worried now about future content getting hit with nerf bats because people refuse to spend a little time learning and adapting. What a terrible decision.
