you accidently got the wrong game wow forum is that way ----------->
Non-streamers offer to carry people. So what? Offering carries does not constitute RMT.
Well this thread was a funny read lol…
this exactly…you can pump almost endless funds into the game with real money but streamers getting donations are ruining it all…bonkers
I see that no matter what anyone tells you, you are going to refuse to see it any other way. Have a nice day.
Sounds like you are just salty that they get free stuff and not you …
RMT is real money trading
Gifts are gifts , you can be sad that you dont get some but you cant punish people who do get some
Well imagine you want to apply this rules.
What are your goals? Go against this things?
1- lost ark content benefits the game and it’s fun to watch.
2- kids that don’t have access to real money can do fair money in game and send it along with a message to their favorite person, their hero maybe.
What benefit can you possibly get killing marketing and killing kid’s joy?
Star Wars Galaxies was before wow. I know then rmt was a think and allowed until about half way threw the games life they changed the tos to not allow it. Wows tos has never allowed rmt.
Totally agree with you and OP!
OMFG, how in the world a mere streamer can be a HERO for someone?!
it doesn’t make any sense.
If it weren’t for an streamer i wouldn’t have played the game and i’m talking about not a big one like the people are jealous about.
They are free marketing and they bring their followers to play the game so it’s all benefit
What’s the bad side people envy? RMT? If stremears are getting banned from things they can’t control like any RMT thing sent to them then i should be able to create an steam account RMT some gold send it to you and get you banned and they are ppl out there capable of acting friendly and banning you like this.
Like people loves to create bigger problems of not existing ones just out of pure envy or selfishness
How in the world can someone don’t know this?
Here i’ll quote another reply that also note this even tho they are against streamers taking gifts.
Is like a common world awareness that content creators have a huge young fanbase
if it were a scientist, inventor or even an entrepreneur I would understand
But a streamer? LOL
But hey, who I am to judge people, right.
I get it.
But I still agree with OP point of reference.
Amazon code of conduct
3. Play fair
Do: play within the rules of the game.
Do not: exploit bugs or other unintended uses of game features.
Do not cheat, bot, hack, or use other software or services that give you an unfair advantage through, for example, unattended gameplay or game modifications.
Do not engage in real-money trading of in-game items and in-game currencies.
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes unfair play and to take corrective action we deem appropriate.
The last line is what speaks in volumes when it is a CM that stated the comment.
Giving gifts doesnt violate any of those rules.
So if i give my wife a ton of materials for enhancing i should get banned? Lol
Well by that you are still playing 1 person 1 account, you have yours, she has hers.
For some reason it becomes an issue if you play 2 separate accounts.
Again. There is nothing in the terms of service against using two accounts. Not only that but it would be impossible to enforce without saying only one person per household is allowed to play lost ark which would be absurd lol
There’s the MoD, CM posts from the topic posted asking about it.
As said the line in the code of conduct,
is where it falls into on this regard. Is there a real way for them to prove its 1 person playing 2 and funneling, no. However it was deemed giving someone an unfair advantage. Much like getting gifts is. Both I think should be acceptable practices.
Looking for ironclad answers in a ToS is a fruitless errand, they always will leave themselves an out to have the final say.
were you living in the jungle for last 10 years? like any other older medium be it tv shows, movies music or music videos…streamers and video content creators are slowly getting to that level of fame and wealth and it expands its audience since its a interactive, parasocial experience as well
Wait i’m missing the context here. Did something happen to a streamer?
