Hello,
since April 15th 2023 I have massive stutters whenever I’m casting an ability for the first time or something new loads in. As there was no lost ark update on the 15th but a windows update I assume that there might be a compatability issue. So far I have tried the following to fix the issue with no success:
restarting (both PC & lost ark)
de-/reinstalling the windows update
reinstalling/down-/upgrading graphic card drivers
lowering graphic settings
verifying gamefiles
reinstalling lost ark
-novsync -notexturestreaming launch options
reinstalling EAC
…
This is accompanied by 100% CPU usage. My specs:
intel i5-7400
nvidia gtx 1050ti 4GB
8GB DDR4 RAM
Any help is appreciated as the stuttering currently prevents me from enjoyingthe game.
4GB in GPU and 8GB RAM is ‘t exactly that amazing for gaming. You got the minimum req but if you crank that RAM abit higher and your game will run smoother.
Okay after a bit of testing and trying the troublesooting @Cipih recommended (aswell as the “troubleshooting framerate and performace issues”, both with no success) it seems the windows update is the main problem.
After I deinstalled it for the 3rd time and switched back to an older driver the stuttering significantly reduced. I still have a 10-20s diashow when entering i.e Brel G1 (I assume similar in other raids, but I didn’t get to test that yet) but atleast I can walk around in cities and after the initial stuttering the game runs (mostly) smooth.
I ordered additional RAM and hope that this will fix the remaining issues. Thx everyone for your help.
