How about giving us a subscription only server? Not an aura sub you can buy with in game money… the bots would be all over that. I mean credit card 1 month/6 month/1 year. Would kill off the bots and gold spammers if you have to pay to be on the server. Accounts that bot on that server get their payment method banned on that server as well as account. Accounts that drop sub just get locked on that server till they resub. One way transfer at first month’s payment from a F2P server. Everyone gets equal benefits on that server. After standing in one spot and trying to count bots only to lose count or be unable because there were too many, and having to turn off most chat channels to block out spammers, it is clear you can’t control the bot problem while it is F2P… ban all you want. Wouldn’t be a perfect solution… but it HAS to help… and if it doesn’t work fold the servers and transfer back to F2P.

Yeah… i remember WoW bots… but it was never like this that I remember. Then again I played at the start… vanilla, BC, mists… so maybe it got worse. I also assumed the bots I saw got in with a 30 day free pass and just treated it like a F2P and offloaded after 30… kinda like playing till you get banned then coming back in on a new account. I agree I dunno that it would completely work… especially not against all illegitimate activities… people are gonna hack a game and there are always some farmers cause there is money to be made… but it has to make it harder at the least. Heck anything… they just reported 1 million bans and the low and mid level areas are full of em.
It is because making a new steam account is simply way too easy with minimal investment. Again, it doesnt have to be perfect but if such option was available and sub fee is that solution i would be happy to pay.
However the problem js that bot problem will persist as long as they can easily make more money than what they have to spend and even if the solution worked out, it creates the appearance of second class citizenship for f2p servers.
I too wish there was a magical button to push to make these cancerous problems go away.

What you described is exactly the wow system and subscriptions never stopped the millions of bots in wow plus AGS solved the bot issue at least for now, they banned more than 1 million bots.
Anyway i would support subscription for the right reasons but yours are all the wrong ones.
Absolutely not! Whatever they did had zero effect. The game is still full of bots, more than players in the low level regions and they start to push in the mid to higher level regions as well.
I appreciate they are working on this but nothing is solved atm.
WoW bots pay their subs for the 1st time, then never again, using the WoW Token feature. Even without this, they can still afford to run millions of bots because of the money they’re bringing in. They bot these characters to max lvl and then sell it, or they have raids full of boomkins aoe farming, Asmongold shows this many times…
There are already veteran players who played on KR/ RU / JP and start over when NA/EU released.
I can’t talk for everyone but personally i don’t mind starting over i know i will get a better end game experience with less rubber banding.
Diablo and POE has done many seasonal gameplay so consider it similar thing.
I will lose my collections but i can do collect it again…
However, best solution would be Premium subs server + transfer character (with reasonable fee)
The only thing that work against Bots/Cheats etc. Is having people register whit their ID and make it a legal crime whit harsh punishment to Cheat in Games like it is in Eastern Countrys.
But people would outcry when they have to give their ID to a company to play a game so i doubt that would happen.
Having a Subscription fee would only change things if the Subscribtion is more expensive than what the Bot would make in a month ( Simple math ) or until he gets banned. Which prop would make ur monthly Sub costs hundrets of Euros/Dollas
I am willing to pay a monthly sub right now, if they bring botless servers.
Also in my experience the community is usually lot less toxic in subscription games.
Sorry, i should have clarified that when i was talking abou bots i meant the gold seller spam, this is completely gone in my always busy server(Neria) and i am very happy about it.
Unfortunately doesn’t happen in NA West - Valtan server… bots and gold seller still EVERYWHERE
