Hi, I’m one of the players that got severely strucked by the gold nerf hammer, trying to adapt to the “new” Lost Ark. I understand that with all those gold nerfs the devs managed to dimminsh a lot the amount of gold that was generated weekly which help figth the inflation, but the problem now is that you have a lot of new 1445 chars that can’t do the content that they are supposed to do because they are too “weak”.
With the previous system you could have chars that they were on the 1370 to 1410 and still generate gold and being “properly” dressed to the content corresponding to their item level. You just need to put argos/oreha set and accesories and then with just a 6/6 stone you could have a 3x3 engravement set with well distributed stats (5 class accesories and 2 epic engravement that match the 6/6 stone). The problem is that the new 1370/1414 is now 1445 and the content that you are supposed to do is Valtan HARD and Vykas NORMAL, and with 3x3 you are just not “strong enough” to do your job.
The devs themself gave a free 4x3 as the basic to do the content, but when you try to build that 4x3 or better for chars that don’t have the express event active you will find a big problem called class engravement. Rigth now the accesories with your class engravement of choose are rare, the ones that also have second engravement that help you are even harder, if you add the combat stat they get really pricey and if you add good quality they get astronomically pricey to the point that you can’t afford it for an alt that was supposed to generate gold instead of sinking all your saved gold.
So my suggestion is basic, make the extra reward that you can buy after each raid gate to give a guarantee class engravement accesory, like it was in Argos and Oreha but relic quality. That way a lot of people that have already crafted their relic set are going to buy those extra rewards, which means that you will generate a gold sink and at the same time the new players are going to be able to find the accesories they need in the AH, if they are not lucky opening the extra rewards from the gates to find them for free.
Rigth now the new 1445 chars are “weak” with bad engravements, so they have to take a bus and they can’t generate the gold they need to buy a good class engravement accesory. Some popular classes do have a bit more of variety, but for less popular class finding class engravement, proper second engravement and proper combat stat get seriously hard or impossible. My Machinist keep looking for a 5 Legacy of evolution with grudge or barricade as second and spec as combat stat without finding anything or when one appear it goes for over 100k, when it can barely generate any gold now, gatekeeped on Valtan/Vykas because being with bad engravement or Argos accesories and bare item level.
