Suggestions for personal block/mute words and chat filters + better attention of the GMs about the reports of toxicity in the global chat

I would like to suggest to the development team new features for the chat such as adding a block filter for personal words in the menu (messages with the words I added in the filter do not appear, etc.).

I would also like to draw attention to the amount of toxicity in the chat that is beyond normal limits.

I am Brazilian, playing on the South American server. Since the launch the chat is a horror show. People offering sexual content, misogyny and sexism extremely high, men writing in all capital letters what they would like to do with women in the game, apology for nazism, apology to the current president of Brazil that is a genocidal, denialist, corrupt and antivaccine, racism against blacks and xenophobia with Spanish and latin people, in short, a complete disrespect with everything and everyone. All the time. Non-stop.

I cannot ask the moderators and GM to pay more attention to the complaints that are being made in the chat because you would have to hire a huge number of new people to be able to handle them, and I believe that the company would not do that, since none of them do. Especially now that the game is out and you must have a lot of work to do.

But as soon as I entered the game for the first time, the first message I saw was that Lost Ark would not allow any kind of abuse in any way against anyone. So, even so I ask for a special attention to the complaints, especially those made by Brazilians.

In the meantime, I would like to suggest this word filter.
It is very difficult to play and pay attention in this beautiful game with this beautiful story, with people saying completely absurd and inhumane things in the next window. I spend more time blocking and reporting players than actually playing. A word filter would help a lot while you investigate the reports.

I really wish the game community would take things that are said in global chat more seriously and that words have consequences. I believe in the Lost Ark team and I believe that nobody wants an extremely toxic, Nazi and racist chat room. We want a cool community, in a cool game.

Please add the ability to block people. The chat is memorized with calls to buy Gold for real money. It is annoying. Sorry, low eng.

I don’t understand your reply. We already have an option to block people. Just right click in their name on the chat and choose the block option.

What we need is a filter option to add certain words in it to don’t ever have to see these messages like “block/doesn’t show messages that have these words: sexxxxx, buy gold, what the color of your undies” etc etc, let me add block words to my filter, u know?

And we really need a real force of work from the developers and the people who see our reports. The chat is getting more toxic (and I don’t know how this is even possible) by the day.

We are currently working on improving moderation filters and tools. In the meantime, please report these folks: Lost Ark - Support | Amazon Games This will help our team get them out of game more quickly

Like this Bruhbruh fella here in the replies? Who thinks I’m making a boring game, calling me complaining about harassment and sexual assault to be “pathetic” and "uncool. This kind of person should not be allowed to live in community. Already reported.

EDIT: I can’t see him anymore. Maybe he blocked me or he got banned. Please people, report! This game need to be healthy. Toxic people should not be allowed to live in this society with us.

Honestly surprised that in this day and age, gaming companies STILL do not have any type of chat filter that can be configured with key words in it so that if anything listed will not allow that chat to show up.

Aion has this feature, and the community has maintained / updated it frequently to combat gold sellers and other toxic chat.

Smile Gate needs to get on board with this and create a chat filter that we, the players, can modify to add as many key words as we want.

Saying they are working on moderator filters and tools is a 1st step, but this step should have been done years ago. They knew this was coming to the West and they should have already known how toxic players can be, esp gold sellers.

I came here to report toxicity in the chat and a lot of other things, and you came out of nowhere here calling me fragile, completely ignoring my point of view, calling it “boring pathetic and uncool” by the fact I’m complaining about things that’s not nice and don’t make a safe environment for everyone.
You thinks it’s pathetic, uncool and boring the fact that someone doesn’t agree with the high toxicity in the game. You must be a blast in parties, don’t you?
