Yeah, stop complaining. You are totally right. People should just accept everything. I hope you are not complaining when someone cuts in the line before you cause there was a chance that will happen, nor complaining about if someone slaps you, cause there was a chance on that. Basicly, everything in life is subject to change.
But I have a question for you: Why are you complaining about a complain? Oh, the irony here…
Very disappointed the Summoner is being removed. I was hyped for the release of the game but right now i just do not care anymore…
Advertising for a class, making us test (and enjoy) it, just to remove it at the last moment makes no sense.
Those stats are drawn straight from the Closed Beta and are specific to the EU server in question. But it does show that Summoner was a highly popular class that people tried out and tested. It’s baffling why Amazon would remove Summoner and then re-add it down the road.
Seriously, would it be so hard to only translate the game and provide server maintence?
They shot a bullet in their own feet now with the whole “Our approuch is additive” and then removing game content.
not sure about a graph that shows no units (is that %? raw number? if these are just number, the sample size is too small to draw any conclusion). My experience in beta was that half of the people i ran dungeon with were berzerker or blade so…
Even if that is the case. As i said above its not right for the players if they remove a class that was already advertised to be available on release and was even on the official site for people to check out… If they have a limited amount of classes that they can release they should release the already advertised ones. its simple as that.
I’d love to hear how they justify REMOVING A WORKING CLASS. This just proves they plan to piecemeal content. Are they wanting the people that want to play the unreleased classes to buy skins for a class they didn’t plan to main and then again when their main comes out? It’s either that or it’s some ploy to maintain an inorganic player base by holding carrots in front of us.
as a developer i don’t understand, why content is removed when it is actually ready for realease and was promoted for the the release too. Must be some marketing strategy decision… I hope they will release a clear statement why they remove summoner or maybe they will rethink their decision…
I remember that there were a lot of people crying for sorc and wanted the class to be in the game at release. Or it’s just coincidence that they choose sorc of all the new classes to be in the game.
It’s the best news so far because I wanted to main sorc, but once again the communication wasn’t there. I really hope that summoner is the 16th class they are releasing, otherwise it’s just another bad move from AGS.
And I hope that the players who wanted to main summoner will get the option to use the legendary avatar from founders for their summoner then @Roxx
“We are in hot water and need to show that we ‘listen’ to the players! They wanted sorceress, right? Put that in there.”
“But sir we are contracted to only release X classes.”
“Delete the Summoner, we can just dangle the carrot to keep interest because she was popular in the beta”
“But the Beta players will be pissed”
“Who cares, they are just a few loud nobodies.”
“But we are listening to them to add Sorceress?”
“Why are you still asking questions? Go do what I told you.”
The logical contradictions that I expect goes on at Amazon Games.
its not even about the beta players. Summoner was advertised as a class for the release on the class tab on the official site for as long as class tab exists. Not to mention the founders pack skins and stuff
this is the only 1-day chart, it’s not a fact, people tried a lot of classes, if the Sorceress was there, it will be on TOP one.
If a chart did only the last day of the beta can be used as fact and was only for who bought the founder pack, I can assume this for Sorceress because wester loves Soeveres/Wizard and Warlock.
While I agree it’s bad form to pull a class that was available during testing, here are some of my thoughts on the logic behind the decision:
1.) Smilegate contract binds publisher to releasing only 15 classes on go live (could be a rumor). Since Sorceress (Mage) is more popular than Summoners, they decided to swap out to attract more players and stay within the limitations of their legally binding contract.
2.) Summoner is outrageously strong in PVP. The PVP scene is popular in NA/EU so I imagine a lot of players will complain and get upset playing against pet summoners. As someone who has over 1000 PVP matches played, I can tell you they’re hard to deal with and they’re easier to play.
cmon guys calm down it seems that they have finished censoring sorceress before release but need more time for the summoner
jokes aside this is completely brain dead decision it’s like offering a treat to a dog and then hiding the hand. im losing brain cells following ags management of this game.
Well, we love summoners too ^^’ (look how popular are necromancers in other games for instances). And you could also argue that the real assassin archetype (the reaper) is absent from release too, even though true rogue class are usually also popular.
In KR, summoner is much more popular than sorceress (sorceress being recent, and changing main being a pain also does play a part in this to be fair).
I am also quite concern about how would sorceress perform in T1 since she was only release in T3 content so far. While summoner performs well in T1 and is a good starter class as summons guarantee a bit of damage while the payer is avoiding mechanics.
