Thank you Amazon for announcing and promoting a class and even letting us have a taste of it during 2 close beta tests just to remove it after a few weeks or months for launch

@trolgaroth They havenât touched on the real public yet. We are nowhere near the marketing they did for New World. It remains to be seen if they will go to those lengths for marketing this anyways.
Itâs very âballerinaâ so I wouldnât put it past them.
Summoner pets are bugged in PvP, and itâs really frustrating to deal with. The bug is still there on Russia as well so they could just be pulling the class until Smilegate roll out a fix for it. Also, ALLEGEDLY their contract limits how many characters there can be on launch.
Not happy about the change myself, but this may provide a bit more context to a seemingly out of the blue decision.

that makes sense in that case if they did that to fix a bug within the class itself. but shouldnât they have mentioned that theyâre fixing it instead of doing it without saying anything?
Itâs so funny that all of your shilling is based on your imagination, not facts shared by AGS.
Personally, I had no interest in playing Summoner and would prefer Sorceress.
Am I happy with this last minute change?
Not really. Iâm not a huge fan of robbing Peter to pay Paul. As there were people who couldnât wait for Sorceress to release in the Western version, there were people who were excited to play Summoner and felt happy that the class is available at launch.
This is a last minute change post pre-release advertisement, post beta. The very least they could have done is give a proper reason why such last minute change is happening, and why they cannot add the class instead of yet again remove and replace without seeing the need to actually communicate their decisions with the community.
Once again, weâre just being TOLD. Despite all the PR bullshit they posted about improving communication when they botched the release date, itâs quite clear that AGSâ idea of communication with userbase is one-way street.
I understand different folks have different opinions. I am not here to share my own, but to confirm this is the decision Amazon Games have made and we will be implementing it throughout Alpha, Beta, and Launch.
You have the information you need to determine your decision to play or not.

100% agree. I think genuine transparency would fix a lot of things people are angry about, instead of just providing face value facts and making people wonder and theorize as to why.

yep. not mentioning the reasons behind that is the result of people going mad over it as it was out of the blue. but i really hope they say something soon about it to clear it up and not stay silent and let people keep questioning these decisions.

Iâve had no involvement with AGS or Lost Ark until I received my key for the closed beta a few weeks ago. I have to say, AGS has been an entertaining train wreck for the last few weeks. Itâs unfortunate theyâre going to damage a great game in their death throes.

Itâs the best news so far because I wanted to main sorc, but once again the communication wasnât there. I really hope that summoner is the 16th class they are releasing, otherwise itâs just another bad move from AGS.
Sure I agree, I think sorc is a better choice as mage than summoner for new players. I can remember when I started playing in Kore. It was a little bit strange to have a summoner that doesnât really summon and doensât have âclassicâ mage spells, but has spells that look like creatures (actually a different kind of sorc). It was for sure not a class for me but for a lot of other players. That is also the reason why I think it is a little odd to remove summoner from one of the starting chars.
I also think mage will be the first class that will get his next âadvanced classâ as they have the fewest. We will se if it will be summoner or arcana. From previous releases in othere counties it can be read out that new classes were added already after 2 monaths. So lets hope for the best!

no offense but this was a poor decision for sure by them, i for one was wanting to main summoner and was about to jump on the band wagon and get the platinum pack as i wanted the skin for the summoner and iâm so glad that i didnât
you donât advertise a class and then release founder packs based on the classes that people think will be in the game and then decide at a later point to remove it, to me thatâs shady, yeah i understand when people say âoh you shouldnât buy until the last weekâ, well thatâs a piss poor attitude because if we were to go by that then founder packs shouldnât be released until a week prior to the game that way the community would have a solid grounding on what classes will actually be available
