About 8 months ago I started a post with a compilation of the most useful online resources I was able to find over on reddit… I promised myslef I would keep it as updated as possible.
And whaddya know, here we are, I did keep it updated, and we have a shiny new game guides section.
If anyone has any suggestion feel free to drop me a line, I’ll try to keep this updated here now.
I’ll try to keep the video content to a minimum, and only link really outstanding stuff, since we’re a bit oversaturated on YouTube.
You can check hovering over the orange pencil in the upper irght how long ago I have update this.
Server Selection
What is the official server for X language?
There are no official German, French, Spanish, Italian and so on servers. However the community efforts have been officially recognized. See this official announcement by @Roxx .
Still, see this thread for EU-Central and this other for EU-West.
What is limited to my own server?
Cross Server (i.e: the whole Region)
Raids, Dungeons, Cube, Boss Rush, Platinum Fields, Auction house, Character name uniqueness, PvP arenas, Ranked PvP
Server Specific
Guilds, Friend list, Open world (includes island co-op quests), GvG, Life skills (gathering), In-game elements (mounts, pets, Legacy level etc.)
Cross Server in Kr (no idea when we’ll get the patch, might be in at launch for all we know)
Strongholds (i.e.: visiting other people’s private islands for the amenities), Unranked arena premades (i.e.: queue as a group)
Cross Region (i.e.: EU with NA)
Nothing that we know of
Where do I connect to get the best ping?
If you’re unsure in which region to play (e.g.: if you’re in the Americas, Oceania or you’re VPNing in), you can check your ping against amazon’s server on https://www.cloudping.info/ .
Servers should be in the following locations:
EU Central - Frankfurt, DE
EU West - London, UK
US East - Washington Dulles, VI
US West - Portland, OR
SA - São Paulo/Guarulhos, BR
AUS (assuming they open them) - Likely Sydney
Unofficial server-specific discords:
Kadan: Discord
Zinnervale: Discord
Neria: Lost Ark - Neria
Sceptrum: [EUC]Sceptrum Community Discord
Calvasus: Calvasus EUC
Guide collections:
Infolao has a cartload of guides but is not maintained anymore, most things are still quite relevant.
Papunika is a bit leaner, but is actively maintained. There’s also found ark, a bit less stuff than papunika but so far it’s not running any ad.
Both The games cabin and Maxroll have very good Lost Ark sections. Icy-veins has a smaller one, but their levelling guide has detaild info on early engraving bags.
Inven is the reference site, but it’s in korean… was in korean, now you can find Lost Ark on Inven global too.
Pour la communauté francophone: LA Online FR.
A very detailed class breakdown if you need to decide which one to play. And a more newbie freindly one too.
Saintone has put together a very comprehensive set of guides.
Amberdextrous has a very newbie friendly starter guide.
A very detailed checklist, with links to specific guides, from Saint guild.
Maps:
So far lostarkmap seems the more complete. Lostarkdatabse has a nice overwiew of the world, Lostark-es is half in spanish half in english, but it’s quite good too.
You can pair it with this island rewards checklist. Or this other one.
There’s a Lost Ark map on mapgenie, it’s growing quite fast and now includes checklists for some adventure tomes.
Inven Global has both a zones map and a very nice overview ocean map.
If you just want a quick cheat sheet, thete’s one for island rewards in a single html file.
Images of all free spawning rapport items, a korean one with some location screenshots and an english one.
Images for all archeology nodes’ spawn points, all in korean unforntunately, but once you save them locally with an appropriate filename you’re set.
This one is still a WIP but it’s apparently open source.
Databases:
Lost Ark Codex is maybe a bit lacking in details but it’s the better english resource around. There’s also inven, but it’s all in korean, and google translate does not always work on the dynamic pages like the map.
A bit specific but quite nice, lostarkive is populating a 3d-viewer of vanity skins.
Skill builders:
I personally prefer the one at Lostarktree, but Lostarkcodex has one with the official translations, sadly there’s no back/front attack, stagger or part break on the skill tooltips.
Lostarknexus is quite new, but offers google login and build sharing.
There’s a korean-only ability store calculator, but it works with google translate.
Player statistics:
You can get intersting statistics on what the top player play, use as engravings and skills at lostarktree for the russian servers and loawa for the korean ones (you’ll need google translate for the last one). Translated screenshot here for the lazy.
A nice spreadheet on engraving frequency by class, very useful if you want to play out alts.
Player statistics for the EU/NA version, it’s only for streamers (or anyone bothering setting up the twitch extension) and does not show slotted engravings, but so far it’s the only one.
The website also has a faceting calculator.
Planners:
Countdowns for all time-limited events (only RU so far, but let’s hope the API for EU/NA comes out too and they can expand).
Another event timer, with EU/NA times.
A daily/weekly checklist to manage content if you’re an alt-aholic and don’t remember which characted did what. (link to preferences, so you can set english)
Anothr one (in english) with a nice compact mode.
A nice, detailed checklist on a spreadsheet you can save locally. And a super simple one. A super detailed one too.
A checklist for collections, you can save locally this one too.
Island completion checklist, both in an online version and a gsheet you can save locally. A super snazzy island checklist.
A massive checklist for everything in game.
A compact checklist for island tokens with brief descriptions and difficulty ratings.
Faceting calculators
Most ergonomic so far, good options.
Most options to choose from.
A really complex one, allows specific goals with sliders for successes.
A clean looking one, with settalbe minimum goals. UI is a bit disergonomic.
And an effect calculator to save you time if you have a lot of jewelry around or wanto to buy on the market. (calculates how many points you get in each engraving)
Material cost calculators
(You need to manually input some values from your own server in all of those)
Gsheet to alculate if it is better to buy materials from the market or Mari’s secret shop. And another one, a bit less compact, but can calculate potion materials too. And a very compact one.
One with trade ship comparison as well.
Gold to material online calculator, with filters for tiers.
Wandering merchant
Lostmerchants not only has countdowns, but lets you enter what a specific merchant sells once you discover him, so everyone can see it real time. Be sure to select the correct server.
Timetable for all wandering merchants (updates automatically). And a page with countdowns/ups.
Tool collections
Lostarkmarket.online is an offline market mirror done via ocr scraping. So far it only displays prices, but has a public api.
Tooki.app : Mari vs market costs, daily task tracker, gear check to see if the earring you just dropped is valuable to some class or not.
There’s also a honing cost calculator to check if you should use extra materials, but at the moment seems imprecise.
Loa-todo.com : engraving planner for all your gear, daily todo list.
Mokoko.info : checklists for rapport, island hearts, astray components.
oilyark.com : how convenient is to buy % improving materials in refining
pocket-ark : several economic calculators incuding one for buying secret maps
Specific Tools
Crystals and gold real money value calculator, itr also converts between yellow and blue crystals to check offers vs market. And a google sheet you can copy/download if you want something offline.
Spreadsheet to calculate the craft profit of all items. Make a copy, then populate it looking at current AH prices in your region (remember, the AH is gross-region, not server limited). Another one here.
Party synergy calculator.
Which item is more convenient to get from chaos dungeon infinte runs vs buying in the market.
Which class use which engraving (useful to see if a stone is valuable or not), if you want something simpler to save locally there’s a gsheet for engraving’s value only.
Vykas/Clowns typing game practice (sort of nsfw because Vykas).
Very detailed honing upgrade planner based on how many alts you have pumping mats on your main.
Dedicated class guides
Leveling-up guide for Bards by u/aiyulol . (Bards are the best end-game support you can get, and there’s always too few of them. I highly encourage anyone who might like to support even a bit to roll one). Now with part 2.
Another leveling-up guide for Paladins, geared towards speedleveling.
Solo dps and group tank guides for Gunlancers by u/heylookabed. (Gunlancers have a lot of stagger/break utility against bosses and tend not to die, like, ever) Another one here from a Kr player.
And last but certainly not least, General Gunlancer Guide by Boodendorf (this guy pretty much only plays gunlancer).
Stagger damage of all skills/tropods for most classes.
Piety meter gain per skill/tripod for paladins.
New content:
If you want a peek on new content before it becomes available, the news section on the official korean website is what you want. Search for (내용추가) (includind the ()s ) and feed the article into google translate or soemthing similar. Automatic transaltors are quite good with korean.
Speedrunning*
Some nice speed-levelling guides, if that’s your thing: simple, detailed, cheeky.
Sea-specific guides
Spreadsheet with everything you can buy with sea currency (and some pirate coins one-time sources). And another one with what can you spend pirate and various sea coins on. A detailed list of which ship sells what.
Reddit post on best sailors for Estoque.
How to get the Astray ship, with costs.
Best sailors to maximize resistance for all ships (this does not take into acount speed).
Relic gear guides
Rundown of all sets with class suggestions
Set suggestions for all classes. See also this utility sheet. (Names are a mix of EU/NA and Kr at the time of writing, but you should be able to figure it out easily)
Specific guides:
Abyssal dungeon cheat sheet.
Guild banners, good example of what can you do in a singleimage. (emblems are the same on each tab, you can mix 3)
Una tasks priority. And list of rewards.
You’ll need google translate for this gallery of all available costumes (in Korea ofc, western release might differ).
Speedrun build guide. It has detailed skill changes at each level, so you can concentrate on levelling up as fast as possible.
Specialization stat details for each class.
Engraving sinergy for all classes, even those unreleased. (i.e.: if you make an alt that can use engraving your main uses, you have to open less engraving books)
Checklist for rapport’s emotes/songs/requirements. Copy it and use it to keep track of your progress.
All yellow quests that gives engraving books as reward.
Calculate health for all bosses.
Currency flowchart in a single image.
Two reddit posts on chat commands and equivalents.

All the achievements (in korean).
How to camera-bomb Valtan cutscenes.
Threads on Reddit
A brief overwiev of each class by u/heylookabed : Warriors, Fighters, Mages, Rogues, Gunners. (The class names they use are the korean ones, in the EU/NA version most have been renamed) . A very succint tl;dr list by u/Nalfen and a more comprehensive one geared to beginners by u/ejvibes19. And finally which classes are most welcome in a party by u/JK_Man_Dev.
A list of competitive korean PvP builds (the builds are from a serious PvPer, this is just a collection).
A guide on life skills (gathering) by u/Stunning-View-1028. In this game there are no crafting professions, and you can level up all the gathering professions anyway. How much time you want to spend levelling them up is another story however.
A starter guide geared towards hardcore players by u/Stunning-View-1028 .
A pretty nice priority islands guide (check the comments too, there’s some interesting info) by u/Choilicious .
Table on which ilvl you stop getting gold from content by u/Ghostray_325 .
A very comprehensive build list for several classes by Reitear, I find it quite good.
Video Resources
Builds and gameplay for all classes from Koleverii. I personally like how detailed and easy to follow those videos are.
An almost complete video guide to the adventurer’s book, divided by objective (yes, every single objective has its own video)
Everything you need to know about engraving in less than 2 minutes
Is this game p2w?
See this video for the official answer.
You can exchange paid currency for in-game obtainable currency and vice-versa. It’s basically grind-it-or-pay. You can also sell shop stuff (including skins) for that same currency on the auction house. The only things you cannot grind are name changes, character makovers and additional character slots (you start with 6 free slots).
In general if you’re a casual you’ll take longer to get to endgame. If you’re hardcore you’ll create 2 or 3 alts to funnel resources into your main. If you want to drop cash… actually you would need to grind nonetheless, but not as much as a totally f2p gamer.
