This! people put too much attention on MVP screen and ignoring mechanics, making support into having to heal them and then get their MVP as a healer, if everyone has done their job right the complaints of OP shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
Thats why Smilegate needs to balance the DPS? Do u see smilegate throwing balance patches to balance stagger and destruction? DPS is the most important thing in ALL MMORPGs, everything else is just there to ensure u can do DPS.
Because you can’t tell who is good and who is bad if there are no metrics and those who are bad essentially just get free carries so if u can clear content with people doing poor dps then the content is obviously too easy and not challenging, if u make it more challenging then u need more DPS and the way to tell who did more dps is the MVP screen. Not a difficult concept to grasp, literally there in every single MMO.
I’m not sure if you are able to read or not but I clearly said over 20 times now, supports should have their OWN category because noone is competing against what they do, theres only 1 support per group who is automatically it’s own MVP in it’s own category, it’s pointless to share the MVP screen with DPS because there are 3 DPS competing with each other in DPS.
I can’t understand why it’s so difficult for some people to understand something so simple, theres only 1 support, the support is automatically MVP of support. There are 3 DPS so we need the MVP screen to show stats on who did well and who didn’t for the 3 DPS.

You realise that to do min/max dmg, u sometimes want to stand in mechs that do chip dmg rather than moving and losing DPS uptime right? If u dodge every little chip dmg ur DPS will be notably lower than someone who takes enough dmg to be at lower hp but not die while having a higher DPS uptime.
If u don’t care then don’t post? Why post u don’t care, shows u care?
care about what exactly you crying about a support having MVP on content that is team-based and isn’t a competition on who dpsed and ate mechs more
I can assure you that no I do not care my bard doesn’t get MVP when my team is good enough that it didn’t need me to hold its hand through the content
No, it only gives u a rough estimate thats ±10% which is huge, if u hit the lower end of 1 title and the other party member hit the higher end of the next title, the dps diff can be up to 20% or as low as 2%, it’s hard to tell without the actual % which is ONLY displayed on the MVP screen, very stupid IMO.
Can u read rather than jumping to conclusions? I clearly said I have a 1400+ bard so I’m a support main as well and I think it’s pointless including support in the current iterate of the MVP screen because support competes with noone, its automatically MVP, wtf is so hard 2 understand about that? The point is when my bard takes MVP screen which she does way too often, I can’t see which DPS did the highest DMG, I already know I’m MVP of support coz I’m the only support, do u see the pointlessness of having supports share the MVP screen with the DPS?
and im telling you the mvp screen in total is pretty useless it is not a peen measuring screen
The MVP screen is currently the ONLY WAY to determine if a player was good or bad, are you trolling or just being fickle? Theres no DPS meter, later on when raids actually get hard, how the fk are u gonna determine who to kick when u keep wiping due 2 low DPS?
we dont need a dps meter either that’s whole point
yeah Ok, when harder content comes out and DPS checks are in place and only 1% of the population can actually clear it, u can have fun wiping over and over with randoms then.
krs has been clearing it just fine without one so has jp and ru, but you can continue to believe what you like
Thats so incorrect, in KR a VERY LOW % of the population clears the hardest hell mode content, if DPS is such a non factor, y u think they all take grudge + cursed doll and become paper that gets 1shot? Coz DPS checks force them to.
whats incorrect here is you thinking a dps meter is what you need for that type of content, I don’t truly believe you need one to tell you if someone died and therefore your dps is lacking
Ok let me ask you this, if a player died and the MVP screen said he still did the most dmg, cruel fighter title while the other 2 DPS were both alive and did abysmal DPS and you wiped to the boss 10x because the DPS was lacking and the boss kept enraging, who do u kick? If I was the support I’d kick the 2 DPS players doing shit all DPS and change my playstyle to make sure the DPS thats actually doing high DPS doesn’t die i.e Rapsody save him or throw more shields his way etc…
See without some kind of indicator showing u DPS, u would of assumed that the one that died was the one doing low DPS so u’d probably kick him and keep the other 2 DPS who doesn’t die at all, then u go in again and RNG nets u a new DPS who is doing the same abysmal DPS, now ur even further away from clearing the content.
in the higher hell modes mostly the dps is so tight that even if you did the most damage and you died there wont be one cause you wont clear it
again its a team effort not just the biggest damage effort
but imma let you live in this delusion that you seem to think you need something that you do not need, I have alts to attend too and going in a circle with you bores me.
It is simple as if you die/you run away, you deal zero dps. A good support will keep the whole team alive and kicking the boss’ arse, that alone is very valuable (not mention other buffs). Just like in basketball or soccer, assist is also a very important offensive stat, you create chances to help your team to achieve the W.
