Stats, engravings, etc, the way it all works together, it can function differently depending on what is going on in a fight, beating a target dummy does nothing.
Just give us one that ONLY shows our DPS
Wouldnât work anyway a dps meter would always be flutuating in the field. Did you have agro or not, did you have support buffs or not, was there mechanics that required you to drop dps etc. Dps meters are simply for an ego boost in a game like lost ark. You coukd fight the same boss 5 times and have 5 different outcomes.
Play what you enjoy, every class and logical loadout can clear content. If your worried about the meta, follow the meta.

But im here to support it for the good reasons,
i think its a issue of dps meters that they can create toxicity and elitism, yes.
Of course in lost ark, things like hits taken are just as important as this isnt a purely dps focused game.
But thats not the reason they where created, the negative part is sadly a reality of it,
but i do not think the downsides justify a phrobition.
Especially since the people doing it are not doing it for negative reasons and they improve the game in a positive way for the most part.
And its wrong to limit games creativity when theres no real justification for it yet, let the tools exist, the devs of the tool have a hard life enough already and IF it turns out to be a big eltisim issue then forbid it.
I also like how people bring up ffxiv as an example for comparison. A game where every encounter follows a strict script and you can math out / map every global cooldown from start to finish.
Encounters in LA are a lot more flexible and being spontaneous, adaptive and flexible isnât something you can measure with a DPS meter.

Huh? Engravings are pretty much fixed. Your stats might vary depending on the spec and GS youâre at in the game if you play a complicated class like WD, but for the most part these things have a nice split. âWhatâs going on in the fightâ THATâS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING LOL! Not some damn DPS bro! Learn the mechanics, master them, thatâs when youâll do DPS. Itâs common in KR when new content drops for the âhit masterâ classes to be top DPS at first because they donât have to worry about positionals, but as ppl learn the fights those classes start to fall off a bit and positional classes start to take over because ppl learned the fight. Itâs not like those classes got steal buffed mid patch lol

Until raid goups required screenshots of your last 5 argos runs to enter.

I like to see what Iâm doing for DPS, I will use third party tools until I get banned and just not play after then /shrug.
But they are the quick clear groups so now i cant go into groups because you want something thats not allowed to be allowed?
It would be misleading imo unless it was SUPER detailed. How do you know if youâre doing the same damage as another class? What if youâre say⌠500k down? That could literally be just the boss doing an extra mechanic that you had to wait on that the other person didnât. It could be they have a lvl 5 tripod instead of your lvl 4 tripod. The game is also P2W, so maybe youâre 1400 is different than a whales 1400, as an example. This sounds good, but in reality I HIGHLY doubt itâd factor in all those things to help you think youâre playing better or worse than another player.

Last week i was in team 2 of argos with no support and cleared. I wasnt on the board and my dps would of been low as no support buff. They would show up negatively on a dps check.
The week before i had MVP with 20% damage and a lower ilvl.
The game needs some QoL additions, DPS Meter aint one.
Even the director doesnt want to add one.

Make your own group and donât ask for it, idk what to say, most groups donât ask for things like that.
Lul, they are not able to detect bots since release,only thing they managed to do was vpn ban lmao. Do you think they are able detect 3rd party programs ? Sadly not developers of 3rd parties are always 2 steps ahead as you can see on bots.

I MVP all the time below other ppl in my party. Doesnât necessarily mean one thing or another imo. Not saying thatâs what youâre implying, but maybe Iâve invested in my tripods and they havenât, maybe I was able to weave in and out a bit better and didnât get stuck in a nasty animation lock. Like thereâs so many factors the meters wouldnât be able to tell even a partial story imo.
I mean, like I said, Iâll use the third party tool until I get banned, I like to see my dps /shrug.

Im not pro meter bro, read my posts lol. Im saying any small difference can have an effect on the outcome and a meter has no bearing as the outcomes are most times situational.
Specifically in LA.
