They started working on it as soon as they realized that - with each passing day, things became worse. Which doesn’t change the fact, that prior to the start of the pre, they couldn’t predict that.
Come on, be logical about it -why would a company, which obviously wants to gain as much profit as possible, purposely make a huge portion of potential customers leave if they would know that in advance?
They said it several times that they didn’t expect those numbers. This doesn’t mean that they became aware on day 1 of the release. They got aware prior to that - this doesn’t mean they can come up with a solution right away.
Like I said, this things take time, you clearly don’t know about all the small things that needs to be done prior launching a whole region on a completely separate datacenter by a completely different provider.
It takes 24 hours to spin up a server - Hence they could have done it on ANY of the head start days. They already have the data center in Ireland. That could have been up and running within 36 hours tops, 20 new servers.
You saying that just proved that you don’t know anything about this at all.
Keep living in your angry assumed reality if that makes you happy (which it clearly doesn’t)
Weren’t there ~500k people playing during early access? And wasn’t the peak concurrent players during Steam release (including queues since they have to be in game to queue) 1.3 million players?
Maybe I’m confused, but how does that translate to millions of players? Has math & counting changed in the past weeks?
I’m as annoyed by European server problems as the next person, but misinformation, hyperbole and lies don’t really help anybody.
Better communication sometimes helps, as does more transparency.
Sadly though, for most people it is like “this must be an easy fix, give us an ETA now and implement server transfers now, can’t be that hard”.
Most people do not understand, that actually is very very hard to do all this.
The playerbase in the EU was totally underestimated, which was a big mistake. But fixing this will take time, not some hours, not some days.
And most don’t see this and/or don’t want to accept this. Even communication will not really help, because many topics show, that many people are not even reading the news, but complain anyways.
Or they open the same topic over and over and over again. Although the topic has already been answered by a CM.
What is mind blowing to me is that they thought that one server region for EU would be enough. I really think they have been stressed out about the launch and dident think about it. Whoever is in the lead might get in trouble because it would make more sense to have two regions for EU as a standard even if it was two servers for each region.
I really enjoy this game. But i doubt there will be a region transfer anytime soon sadly. I work so i took days off to play this as i dont get much time after. Now i get home from work put the kid to bed and sit in queue for 2 + hours and log in and get to play for an hour if im lucky.
If i were to start over i would lose money and would never catch up.
You have a gold mine here this game will be big for a very very long time if done right.
Honestly though i am so shocked that that they thought one region would be enough for whole of EU XD
What about the bug that players become on abyss raid a id without killing a boss. That happens me 4days ago and i can wait 1week for reset for something I didn’t clear.
That’s a big problem and on every post I hear nothing about to fix that. I can’t play endgame because such a huge bug and servers that didn’t function in primetine
That’s the worst excuse I have ever heard. You guys know that Europe have more people then NA and you do nothing to be beware such problems that you have now.
I also think American company’s think on Europe there is only one language and thats European.
You guys not flag any server to any language and that is why servers have players with multiple speak on chat
