Thank you Smilegate and Amazon

no, by switching to euw you are just giving those lazy dogs what they want.

I mean its sunday anyway so probably no one gives a shit from amazongames, just keep spamming the shit out of this forum until the community managers feel pressured to actually report something for ONCE.

Its the same like in new world, you need multiple 100s of threads and reports for the community manager to grow some balls and run to their boss telling them that something is wrong, after all all the forum staff is probably unpaid so they dont give a shit either, just like support.

Precopied answers are the only ones you will ever get from this studio, and coming from path of exile and being used to have a tight and open communication from the publisher / devteam to their community i have to say, amazon games is simply dogshit and its sad that they will aquire more and more games because money rules.

Lost ark would be better at pearl abyss, by far.

They should have had both EU regions open at launch that is a given. Outside of that, what do you think AGS should do - this is a genuine question, how can they fix EUC? We know transfers are off the list for the time being since that is down to SGR to implement. Yes they have done a server transfer before manually, but nothing is in place for something of this scope… I personally just want to play the game without wasting more time in queues, so EUW is currently the best option for me personally.

You are not review-ing Smilegate’s Lost Ark. You are review-ing Amazon AWS services. And those reviews does not say anything about Lost Ark and…

…and it kind of sucks. It is like it is, its not like Humans Have Free Will to think for themselves what they are doing…

@Johnddd

He wasn’t even in space, which is also laughable.
I feel like Amazon isn’t capable of doing anything, except making stupid amounts of money each year and then being too incompetent to use it to make things work.
Imagine being one of the if not the biggest server provider on this planet, having literally infinite amounts of money and not having good servers

I see a lot of people saying it is not Smilegate’s fault.
It’s true that Amazon is in charge of the hardware infrastructure, BUT the software (netcode) part for groups not being able to enter instances is Smilegate’s fault (basicaly timer to enter too short) for not accounting for possible server issues hence why we are waiting for Smilegate’s code to solve actual issues and that is a different issue than Amazon cheaping on the number of servers.
So its both Amazon and Smilegate.

There is no fixing that piece of shit they fabricated.
It’s either giving up all the shit one paid for and move to EUW,
or just ride it out till the Hype burned out and numbers decline fast.

AGS won’t do shit to compensate people fully for their money or all the problems they created,
That was more than obvious when they neither cloned EUC nor provide the full Package one had bought on EUW.

Did you hear such scandal in korea, japan or russian servers ? if yes, ok, smilegate did shit

Buuuuut nope.
The real problem is amazon did underestimate european population.
Adding a second datacenter later is not a solution efficient enough (without transfer)

Let set another situation : europe get on early access the same number of server that we had but spread in 2 data center.
Then, on official release they add same number of servers (what we have now in EUC)
It would remain not enough… BUT it would be possible to continue to add servers (so, get up to 2times what we have now in EUC)

BUT getting now in EUW : empty server, while EUC get impossibility to do dungeon because datacenter overwhelm, EUW cant because not enough people… With this “2 data center from release” scenario i speak about, this is not a problem.

For the dutyfinder/matchmaking issue, we will have this week a patch to solve it. (lets see if will work enough) but will remain the main first problem : many people can’t play or nearly can’t play due to being unable to log in.

This problem is the main. i can’t do guardian, abyss ? ok fine, ill do isle, giant hearts, mokoko, ignea shits. All those skills potion to get… I can’t log in : i just can’t play.

ANd the real problem (not being able to play) is 100% amazon mistake.

Korea population : 45 Millions
Europe population : 450 Millions

Btw Im trying to connect now and the queue is 15k. HOW is it possible that queue situation is getting worst and worst while servers are supposedly locked ? Ive never seen more than 12k queue and now 15k ?

not locked, and even more. we are on saturday and sunday… more people play video games on those days than week days

Im on na azena, here i get 500-1000 que wait most times. Its not to bad. But still kinda annoying to deal with since this is the 1st game i have ever played that has que times. Iv been playing guildwars 2 the past 9 years. That game has had zero downtime in those 9 years. Theyve created a spectacular system. But that game is simple and linear with its story and character progression.

I posted earlier about all the failures they’ve made so far for people paying for their products. How they haven’t addressed half the issues and updated us. How they’ve managed to mess up founders packs 4 times and not said a word about it.

They locked and delisted the thread so nobody can see it.

Communication is literally getting worse when they hide a thread where we say they aren’t communicating.

i dont know what you speak about, i have my 4 pack, friends got all their pack.

Also, when cash shop is close/out of service, nothing bind to it is avaible, like… the redeem menu or the aura

Just a correction:
South Korean has population of over 50M
Europe has over 740M
Over 440M is the population of European Union => European union =/= Europe

Of course one could expect issues with a game built around lower potential playerbase… Yet Amazon did completely nothing to prevent or proactively prepare for the challenge Europe poses as a market… Not only that, they still fail to comprehend just how out of grasp they are and they refuse to properly communicate, leaving the game in a bit of a jeopardy…

25 years ? are you from the time of Ultima Online?! :stuck_out_tongue:

I do play MMO’s since 2002 (SWG Beta was my first) and I must agree, this is the worse launch ever I did put my hand’s on

More like Everquest in 98 with the good old 56k connection, this is how I learned English  Good old memories, best game ever.

I dont like the weight of my words when I say worst launch ever, but the reality is Lost ark is unplayable on EU you cannot do group content, the group wont form, only thing left is questing but once your 50 … and that is if you play the game because of the queues …

Ultima Online… Good old years… We really need a game which is designed like UO.

Didn’t play either Everquest or UO, but did play ultima VII

BtW we did have one, SWG, until it was destroyed by some one … guess where he works now?! :stuck_out_tongue:

The only ones who deserve my respect here are Smile Gate developers. Amazon is messing and breaking the game by censoring it and tampering with cutescenes and other stuff.

SG as far as I know is forced to apply that censorship and change things in the game and that was clearly shown by the director of the game in the stream.

So…Amazon is just the bad guy, not even Russia did censor the game but hey, NA/EU are now the beacon of censorship on this ages. Someone remembers the outrage when China censored games with poorly edited outfits and removed cinematics?. Now some people encourage it.

The other things that Amazon is not doing right is related to Servers and bugs that breaks the experience… So, in the light of those two points, Amazon Game Studios is not worth of my respect until they fix the game and make it the experience that should be, restoring everything they censored, from cutscenes to NPC dialogues, fixing the server issues, desyncs and so on.
I’m sure that not everyone in that department are the issue, but in this world when someone in the group doesn’t do things right, everyone shoulders the repercusions.
