You have to reread your logic from a business perspective. We need to remember that ags and sg are for profit businesses at the end of the day.
Also, are you not seeing the plethora of complain posts about them not rushing valtan release? The community as a whole doesnt really know what it wants.
Everyone wants everything right now and also not right now. I could back these complaints more if they werent all so nonsensical
the problem wasnt that argos was released too early, the problem was the people didnt get enough mats to get to that ilvl.
thats why we got 2 events full of honing mats.
i wouldnt mind them releasing more raids , faster . maybe even every 2 weeks but it needs to be accesible to players that play several hours a day.
Yea i get its business but they’ll have a new world 2.0 if they keep fking around and not dropping classes and stuff. Obviously things like valtan and stuff are fine being released later as we simply don’t have the mats and it would cause outrage. However them failing to address a big part of their population that simply want to play the class they want, as well as people just hearing how “bad” the game is will lead to bad from business perspecitive as well cause if no one’s playing the game they won’t make any money
That’s a horrible argument, they’re aware of the problems as they arose in their version of the game over time, fixed them in their version eventually, but still launched our version of the game with the same problems.
Obviously you didnt notice since devs never said it officially, but LA does big content updates only bi-weekly, meaning any big update will be next week. It was like this since release
Exactly why people were quitting in KR. I guess you want the same process then? They release subpar content, player base dwindles and suddenly they bring out the boosted shit to try and bring ppl back?
Why repeat past mistakes in KR when you can already implement the fixes that made their player base grow there?
Nonetheless, people would like HORIZONTAL progression too. They have years worth of skins and none are being rolled out, except the Omen ones which were released in 2020. They have classes people have been wanting play, etc.
People consume media of the CURRENT KR version, not the one from years ago.
Makes sense, the very first time I heard this was today actually. I’m aware it takes time to localize content for our version of the game, but it still blows my mind that they were aware of the dead zone and still released our version of the game with no honing patch and brought out argos still along with no challenge guardian raid or pvp vendor at the time.
It seemed like you were being sarcastic, but no the korean version did not launch with T3 initially although our version did. 1340-1370 had low honing rates which made a lot of players quit. After implementing higher honing rates in that area of the game as well as catch-up mechanics for even more raids later on they saw a much higher player retention rate in KR.
Our version of the game does not have those higher rates, or the endgame legion raids, yet they brought out argos, which sits at the end of the 1370 deadzone while not bringing out more content aimed at providing more materials, such as pvp vendor and challenge guardian raid, although we did get pvp vendor after argos, the amount of mats we get are somewhat low compared to the current honing rates.
i think there no mention of additional content (raids) on my post other than classes. i want more skins. road map, other sources of mats that are permanent (good for F2P right.}
the skin they release was so cringe inducing vomit! i want to give amazon/SM money… i haven’t done that yet.
they have just pushed a big one out last week. not sure if you have an idea about how complicated software development can be but it’s not easy to do major releases every week while maintaining high quality.
if you quit, you quit but they most likely didn’t made it in time for this weekly patch.

no but the korean version had low numbers and only got “good” once legion raids and other good late game content were added. Most korean players consider the content we are stuck behind a paywall and timegated on the “worst content” so its weird they arent trying to get us to the good content in order to get people engaged and liking the good parts of the game

i dont mind if we get new content or not, but they promised a roadmap ON LAUNCH, that roadmap was not there on launch, that roadmap was then promised to be released “soon”, yet “soon” is never according to them… ppl want to play the class they love, not the class they where forced to use b/c AWS want to milk us… they have classes ready and if you think they dont you are just naive… Destroyer and summoner are definetily ready, and i am willing to bet they forced the devs to remove the rest for this version…
Abyss Dungeon HARDMODE (oreha ones) was 1355 ilvl not 1370.
Argos, in KR, RU, and JP, was with NO restrictions and NO harmonization on item level (meaning you can boost alts with friends and your item level isn’t reduced to a set amount).
Argos set is untradable so all your characters have to go through the same loops as your main.
Yoho guardian in t3 was also 1355, not 1370, giving non-whales access to big stones to sell to whales and get gold (f2p players could’ve gotten big income boost when leapstones were up to 500g each). This is extremely noticeable now, where new players enter a deflated market.
Abyss dungeons dropped more different types of loot that could be scrapped for more stones.
Class balance in current version of the game is done for 1500+ ilvl, so many classes feel underpowered, this is more noticeable with the harmonization in Argos.
In essence, whales would waste their money to get to 1370+ and sell Argos gear to f2p. F2p would sell big stones to whales and buy the Argos on AH with much better honing chances.
I get that its much worse if you compare every little detail, they definitely are butchering our version and it just feels horrible because the average player experience could have been so much better. There’s no real reason for them to be making so many changes to our version of the game, all I want personally is just to have what KR has, and yes localization takes time, but it’s clear they’re changing our version of the game and I don’t think it’s for the better.
