I think what you’re saying is that my plea to push the Artist’s release forward could be said about any class and is therefore invalid.
If I understood you wrong, I apologize.
If I understood you correctly, I must disagree: The forums are filled with people talking about a support shortage and forum mods have replied to these threads and are aware of the issue.
Release of the Artist is a unique opportunity to incentivize players to play more support characters and, in doing so, to address one of the most pressing issues of the current state of the game.
it is indeed invalid cause it was stated multiple times that it will matter very little in the end, specially at endgame where supports are more needed cause most of them will end up as an alt not even ready for g1-2 anyway, or just abandoned after the initial overhype like in kr
so yeah, doesnt matter what class gets released
Even if most of them end up not being honed high enough for Brelshaza Hard, that would be better than the release being timed in a way that makes it literally impossible to take them to Brel Hard in the first few weeks.
Got a Bard Like It and play it a lot. Since im a person who goes for efficiency 9 out of 10 times its only 1505.
Made a pally…boring as hell. Became a Boss Rush Slave.
Artist? Wont make one playing one sup ist my limit i think. And even If i we’re to make one. I wouldnt push her up to current Raids. Because efficiency again.
And a lot of people i talked with feel the same. (Pally or Bard be like 50/50).
Not sure it will help that much. Wild guess being 1/10 groups get 2 Artists. One of them replacing a bard or pally to become a slave.
You might want to fact check yourself there. Artist in KR is getting close to 4% even at end game level Akkan hard. It might even get higher than the paladin count given more time. While the bard that’s been in the game for way too long outshines everything.
Give a class some time and people can get it to play in end game.
Compare that to representation of the newest DPS (Aeromancer) that only has around 1.7% and you see that people need time to hone to play the class they want.
PS: I wish we had API access to our servers to fact check populatons like this but sadly we all know it would be 80% sorc bots anyway.
PPS: Of course there is still a shortage 78.3% to 21.6% but it is not that bad compared to our clown fiesta of 20 open lobbies on every region not finding any supports. We can only estimate our populations though. It’s time for the public API AGS!
3.8% for something thats been out for nearly a year,on a server thats been stacking mats for a year, and akkan has been out for some time now too, not very convincing
if anything, it shows how insignificant it is tbh
also paladin is pretty unpopular in kr since the beginning, i think its more popular over here
also as far as i know ppl drop aero even faster than artist coz its a flop
so its gonna stay there for a while -source trust me bro
well i only heard it from streamers so cant rly add more to it
i d expect that number to hover around maybe 2% for our version after about 1-2 month when the hype died out and most enjoyers finished whaling on it
imo our version is a lot worse when it comes to dps to supp ratio
something like 90 to 10 at high ilvl
and around 80 to 20 mid tier cause a lot of ppl have a support alt for valtan and vykas, and stops like before clown at 1470
so yeah, artist still wouldnt change anything of significance even on the long run
cant say if slayer would top those numbers since we dont know anything about it
it might be a completely flop class like aeromancer that just ends up as an alt or lopang
that is probably sg giving them a time estimate when it will be ready to be released with the alterations, keep in mind we are not their main focus so its probably just a side project for them
i bet if the class was not a child like model it would be released in feb without any hassle
Arist is know in KR like the forgotten class, everyone was so hyped anjd after 1445 most of the people stopped playing her. she will change nothing here cus people dont like to play support, they want big numbers
And they indeed will release Slayer in February, but 2024.
Also, AFAIK in Korea Artist is third most played class, so your point about her not being relevant is invalid.
and also the most dropped class so my point still stands
just coz something was created in a large number out of hype doesnt mean its good or gonna stick
I guess everyone has to go trough this whose main wasn’t released at the start. Same thing happened with summoner too. Reaper got released a month earlier than brel but summoner don’t. Reapers are able to do brel 16 at this point but summoner don’t or only CEO players who put 100k euro in the game. They don’t care about player’s feedback. Summoner got huge hype just like artists so they release it together with the raid. Business man, money talks.
