Time zones are not difficult to comprehend. Nor should it be difficult to mentally adjust for the timers in the game and understand what you need to do.
Some players are saying that the game will die because of the timer bug. Some are threatening to quit because of the timers. I think this would be a net benefit because if you can’t add one or subtract one mentally in your head it’ll do us all a favor if you quit.
Tbh, while I wouldn’t word many things like you do and I nowhere read such strong feelings about timers, I agree a bit.
This might be because living in the UK and playing on EU servers (They’re mostly in Frankfurt/DE) means that local time and server time is always offset by an hour and I am used to it.
In sea zone chat, I have seen multiple players threatening to quit because of the timer bug and multiple players unable to comprehend how to adjust for the timer, stating outright falsehoods like asserting that the timer is 2 hours behind (they are not). This has happened numerous times today. All these leads us to the conclusion that players cannot, in fact, do simple math and throw temper tantrums like kids when they fail to add 1 mentally in their heads.
So, the programmers at AGS, getting paid with benefits probably $100,000 a year or more, can’t solve it either? You blame the players for being confused about the in-game timer not matching the event timer…I’ll blame the people getting paid to do simple math/programming.
if you go to a fine dining restauraunt and you get served undercooked chicken, and the chef comes and say “just microwave it you’ll be fine”, do you go microwave it? cuz this is what you’re suggesting people do
Our ingame calender (german client) is sometimes one weekday ahead and compass is showing wrong islands. It was fixed again with last patch, but we will see if it’s permanent this time.
It happens because our calendar starts with monday, when en clients start with sunday.
