Just keep in mind that AGS is not developing the patch.
Smilegate is the one responsible for making sure everything works as it should and on time.
AGS can’t do anything about it.

They are saying the oppositte… Also, where are they saying that not is their fault? I mean, where they are finger poiting to SGS? Stop to ignore what both companies are doing
Still gg Amazon because they can advise us of this well in advance. This is what happens when you publish a game. You reap both the benefits and negativity if something goes wrong…
Yes the delay is on Smilegate but that does not absolve from the fact that Amazon repeated ad nauseam a bold face lie and commitment. They are the face of the game in our region, and they will face consequences from the public as such. Most people don’t even know SGR is developing our version.
They are not pointing fingers.
But it’s good to understand the difference between what a publisher, AGS, does and what a developer, Smilegate, does.
Just add all the old content at once so we are even with Korea and we are not second class citizens and this kind of stuff won’t happen and devs have more time to work on new stuff right? oh, nvm, u can’t milk us with 2 - 3 years old content if u do this.
People won’t understand this, they don’t want to, they just want to be mad.
I’ve said in countless “no information” threads why giving set dates is risky and often can lead to huge backlash which is why dates like “Coming in April” are given quite often.
Yet people argued hard against this saying “the community would be more understanding if shit happens the patch day and they have to delay it”
Sure they are lmao
Ok but can they type words and lean to communicate?
That part is on them yeah.
I don’t know what happened behind the scenes but clearly something was overlooked.
At some point it would be great to hear from AGS + Smilegate regarding what happened and the steps they will take to prevent it from happening again.
That would be transparency and I am not sure we’re ever getting that here. It would be fantastic but no. What many that defend the situation don’t get is that in professional circumstances there are processes in place to make sure this sort of situation doesn’t happen. I guess I was lucky to work in companies that knew how to test on the final build. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Wish they were able to communicate better about what is happening and what’s the plan here.
