The biggest difference - SG care for KR version and doesn’t give a s…t for our. That’s the harsh true.
While SG do some live stream event for community with people like director/developers that know the game, AGS will hire some people that doesn’t know the game and don’t have any representative to do the same thing to our community instead just a bunch of a written format that sometimes will be edited after releasing a Road Map.
My guild has a lot of 1.8-2k players f2p with 6x 1430+ (most at 4x 1460+). If you play efficiently you can progrrss fast. If you semi afk 70% of your playtime (like i do) then you end up with 0 alts above 1430 at 1700hr.
If you play 2hours daily since release and arnt at argos… what are you even doing during those 2 hours? Especially last couple.months with all the events, express etc.
Youre just not playing efficiently. If you play 6h a day and only made 1415 on valtan release then you’re most likely wasting a lot of time afking.
I actually play (minus the semi afking for work and my shitty attention span) maybe 3-4hrs a day if I were to condense all I do in an efficient way. A lot of days i end up resting my alts because I just procrastinated too much and its too late. I was 1445 on valtan release with no 1370 alts. I was 1480 on vykas release with 2 1370 alts. Now im 1490/1415/1415/1400/1370/1370.
All I’ve bought is founder pack. I bought ark pass with the royal from founder. Never spent royal for gold. Any outfit bought i kept, didnt sell.
I understand your point that having a decked out roster with “normal” playtime(read: big maybe 2h/day average) and f2p is ridiculous, but saying a daily 6h of efficient playing is barely enough to keep up with content is just flat out wrong. You’re just not as efficient as you think.
I don’t think. I’ve sent a formal review letter to Smilegate by email and I haven’t got any answer.
ugh, i dont wanna reply to anyone anymore, why do people keep digging up replies from days ago…
this is what people call anecdotal evidence, coming from some random dude on the forums, when we can see unbiased people in other threads both paying and f2p with 2k hours and we can see their roasters.
2 hours daily since release would be something like 300 hours, it took most people -according to comments on the forum and redit- on average 150~200 hours to get to t3, someone with 2 hours daily would probably reach t1 in march, since they’re casual players you cant expect them to be the most efficient guide following players anyway, so 300 hours isn’t really that much time when you just remove the t1~t2 from it you just have someone who’s been grinding t3 since late may probably.
according to the f2p valtan thread the vast majority of players got to valtan at 600 hours, some players where at 1k+ hours at the time but we’re talking about valtan NM hours.
only one person claimed to be f2p with minimal purchases and to be very efficient said he did it in about 425 hours according to him.
we’re in the future, the time gets shorter the more you move forward, someone joining the game next year would get to valtan in a couple of days, so don’t apply your current knowledge and ability to level up something and assume it was just as easy at the time it all started or someone who plays 2 hours daily even got full use of those events when he wasnt even t3 when the naruni event ended.
everything you just mentioned is irrelevant because you are a paying players, the time argument only works on f2p players, for paying players it’s “how much did you pay”
a paying player can register now, buy everything he needs, logs in 3 days later after restrictions have been lifted and get to 1500 if he wishes to.
your math doesnt add up though, unless you never failed a hone.
by math i mean how much mats can you generate daily to push you to 1445 100 days after release.
never said i was efficient, i play to have fun, i got to t3 in 300 hours and i enjoyed every single hour of those, after that i started “grinding” and that’s when the game started not feeling fun anymore, i love grinding games but this had minimal payback tbh. for me at least, nobody is denying you or any other person to have fun, and i’m pretty sure next year when you get the 1460 express event it will be even more fun for newer players and old ones alike
Dont post on a forum if you dont want days old messages to get replied to. This isnt instant messaging app. This thread only just got “recommended” to me last night, so i read it.
You’re just as random as me, and so are all the people who posted their things. Just because they say they post their time/roster doesnt mean shit. I have 1700 hours and I could post my roster and say “see this is what 1700 hours and a founder pack gets you” and that would be far from the truth, because I probably afked 1000 of those.
Everything is anecdotal evidences at that point, even when backed up with proofs that cant be proven.
Point is there are f2p hardcore/efficient players at 2000 hours that are far above what you think 2000 hours hardcore players can only reach, or what “random dudes on the forums” pretend is the limit based on their own experience. Whether you want to believe it or not I honestly dont really care.
Again, according to randoms on the forums (as per your words).
Back at valtan release, I was around 1000-1200 hours on Steam, and again, most of it is spent semi afking during Work from home and procrastinating reading reddit/forums/discord.
Someone truly efficient, at 6hours a day (which, by the way, if actually efficient, is way more than enough to do 6 alt dailies and still have like 4 hours leftover per day…), F2P or not, wouldve easily made way past 1415 by the time it released.
Fact is most “random dudes on the forums” are not efficient players. Efficient players are too busy being… well… efficient in the game, rather than waste time on forum typing to people. Typing on forum/reading it doesnt provide progress, it’s not efficient.
You’re right. The Founder pack I bought last year clearly skyrocketed my progress at a 10000% rate. I’ll abstain from comparing myself to the poor F2P players who have access to 90% of the same resources I did.
You’re really attributing way too much progress/power to the dollar. If you RMT sure maybe… But a $100 in the game does not magically make you some godlike speedrunner that go from lvl 1 to 1470 instantly and leave everyone behind, especially not back at launch, before the ark pass/growth packages.
Says who? Some random dude on the forums? Do you have the precise math handy of how fast someone couldve progressed to 1445 without focusing on alts and claiming almost everything on their main?
Do remember that Ark pass and Express event were a month before Valtan… Naruni event had lots of mats… and so on.
Then why argue for like 20 posts about what efficient players can or cant achieve?
Anyway, peace
Suppose this topic’s like beating a dead horse at this point, everyone have their opinions and assumptions of what is and isnt possible based on their own experience and observation of others around them. I see plenty F2P progressing at extremely ridiculous rates that I cant even dream of keeping up with because they play efficiently, so we’ll agree to disagree ![]()
aight, have a nice day
What kind of nonsense is that?
The western version of LA will be dropping players because of 2 months cadence? Based on what exactly? Dude trust me?
Also what KR have to do with it? Are you getting classes more often than we? How long did you wait for Aeormancer? 6months plus? Did 75% of the population quit because of that?
Yes, paying is a form of putting in effort, as that effort is from they doing work in real life.
For f2p, effort is time, this is correct. However, if that time spent doing nothing then it’s a wasted effort, or no effort at all.
If you played from start and sell all of your un-bound leap stone, used that gold to invest into more 1400 alts, you should be able to get 4 or 5 char to 1400 already. The raw gold from oreha and argos p3 is not small, not counting the extra loot you get like bis accessories that sell for 10k, or gold books that sell for 6k.
Fyi, for 6 char doing chaos and gr everyday, lets take 6 min per gr and 7 min per chaos, that’s (6+7)x2x6 = 156 min = more than 2.5h per day. You don’t need 5 hrs per day for that.
If you are complaining about game is too grindy, that’s MMO for you. If not your cup of tea, better just leave rather than trying to fit into it.
paying is the opposite of putting effort.
you put effort in your work, not in the game, you use the money to bypass all kinds of effort, that’s the whole point of p2w, that you dont need to put any kind of effort into the game to reach something, yes you put effort in your work to get the money, but not in the game.
if you pay a judge to give you a 10 in a competition to get a gold medal, you did not put an effort, yes you worked hard to get the money, but that’s not effort, that’s pretty much cheating.
well, guess paying is like using a cheat lol.
and you dont see that as a chore?
like you’re forcing yourself to do repetitive actions every day for 2.5 hours daily just so you can get closer to doing 1 extra raid that’s the same exact raid you did but now it’s called hard?
and when you get to that raid you easily add 1~2 hours to your daily play time to beat all of them on 6 characters
also more realistically you’d be doing una daily/weekly/guild quest, lets say that takes you 3 minutes, now you’re reaching 4~5 hours daily, add the events, now add raport, chaos gates, add field boss, add islands, add the 2 million loading screens you go through and honestly god help you if you have an HDD if takes me this long on SSD and nvme, all the side activity.
and now you can easily see how it would take the “efficient” f2p player hours upon hours daily to reach where they are now.
they dont go in do 3 hours of chaos and guardians then leave.
other mmo’s and other games in general that i played would have a world you can interact with and discover, you can just go do your own thing, have fun, then you do your dungeons, get drops, upgrade your weapons, have an actual choice on what kind of a weapon you wanna use, have an actual build you can upgrade to your liking and adjust perfectly -not just pay for judge and cursed doll-
no it’s not, grindy games are fun, you grind and you see an outcome, i’d spend hours, days and months grinding ark, rust or even minecraft, but i would achieve something at the end, that’s the whole point of fun grinding.
MMO’s grind is fun because the game is actually fun, an open almost endless world that you can live in and do all sorts of things, i dont feel that in lost ark, lost ark feels like you need to spend hours doing the same exact thing daily to then eventually fight those 3 same exact bosses weekly, other mmos would offer tens or even over a hundred dungeon/raid you can do.
it’s just my own preference of what i like in an mmo or a game, i dont feel any kind of immersion from lost ark or adventure, just daily chores like that mobile game i used to play.
which i did last week, it’s just whenever i go to facebook, i press F then enter, and for some reason it started taking me to the forums instead lol, as you can see from my previous reply i tried to not respond to anything because i dont wanna get into arguments anymore but i just woke up so i have some energy in me lol.
but anyway, have a nice day, if you enjoy the game then have fun, can’t really tell you to “stop having fun the wrong way, you are only allowed to enjoy the stuff i enjoy” lol
i don’t think i will reply to any further comments but feel free to reply if that would make you feel better.
