depends on how bad their stats or engraving are. If it was normal Oreha, I say at least 1 or 2 level 3 engraving is enough, which is easily achieved by one okay ability stone and double engraving slots. For stats of course you shouldnt take any of the trash stats lol.
So you will be stuck on pvp or low lvl content…

I sure think it is since valtan is an encounter you can clear just by surviving. You actually do not need dmg in your party just survive and thirain can do the finishing blow.

Me and my guildmates went „naked” ( random engv) was fun, we have dont it with avg. GS 1420 ?xd. Argos is easy. Valtan normal can be cleared too, you just need to survive. With hard mode hmmm if u have masters of dodges when it goes berserker its possible. Really you still have not tried it xd ? Omg you really take this game so serious xd
I think single player RPG games are more your speed.

I don’t know about other games, but AFAIK in LoL you can play what others are playing, just at your own skill level. You don’t need any guilds or groups for that - just start matching in ranked and you will get effortlessly into a game that you have on average 50% chance to win.
You will have to get a group if you want to participate in some sort of tournament, but they play the same map and champions there as in ranked, so it only differs that you get cash prizes for winning.
In LOA you simply won’t be able to do Argos P2 or P3 if you do not get accepted into a party or have someone who will do that content with you regardless of your gear (either as paid carry or just friends/guild members). Matchmaking always will end at P1 or wipes and the reason is the combination of both lack of gates and dumb increase in required ilvl.
I haven’t bothered to get my char to Valtan ilvl so I don’t know how matchmaking works there, but I suppose it is possible to try it for both gates. Not sure if it is dead or not tho.
I would say it isn’t that bad if only guild system was better and you wouldn’t be punished for trying to find a better suited guild and failing. You can’t even inspect guilds before joining.
Im pretty sure most if not all mmos are like this. Shit any game that requires teamplay with stats/skills are usually like this. Metas are always formed

Try Diablo, super casual game similar to lost ark. If you’re the type of player that has to be number one then it’s probably not for you as it’s heavily monetized, but the same goes for lost ark honestly

its also not like engraving is hard to get at this rate, you can simply spent 10k gold for 4 lv 3 engravings, thats literally so freaking cheap, if you think it isnt youre just baddd, sorry not sorry, or you can at the very least, grind your way through aira oreha for 3 lv 3 engravings, 2 lv 3 books are basically free, and legendary ability stone is very2 cheap
and you can get 1 lv 3 engraving on accs if you grind p1 argos and aira oreha, im pretty sure, cause i did that on my alt

Actually, engraving is a system to make the life of everyone easier. The more powerful you are the easier the content. Specially If you are on powerlvl for the content. Think engravings as beneficial to everybody.
I recommend you trying to solo Velganos. It’s a really fun fight, but above all it teaches you a lot about how to prepare and move when facing a fair fight. The map sucks, but the bigger areas where he spawns are the best.

If you refuse to play by the standards set by the community, you are free to solo the guardian raids or whatever.
If you want to be accepted into a Valtan group, no one in their right mind would accept someone with 0 engravings. Point of grouping up is finding people who will help you clear it the fastest, not accept someone who will just enter the group like a leach that won’t accomplish anything and not contribute to the team.
