Well we did it, those us of still here on the last day of reckoning, we farmed these forums as hard as we farmed Lost Ark. Content creators farmed us for meme’s while we argued tooth and nail for over a year about topics streamers are just finally starting to shed proper light on.
Our community here is full of good people, passionate people, that as much as they love to hate the game, they love it none the less. A game dies when nobody talks about it anymore, not when people who quit playing still come back to the forums to rant, check for news and stay current with information.
As a parting word of advice, remember in the end this is just a game, you will eventually stop playing it and nothing you are doing in-game honestly matters at all in the long run. You are never going to cash out, your account will just become inactive and that will be that like so many other games you’ve played before Lost Ark.
Play as many or as few alts as you want, play how you want, but in the end don’t stress yourself out. Find ways in-game to have fun, find other players in-game that you enjoy playing with and most importantly find other games to play. Break the sunk cost fallacy.
I quit the game early in January because it just wasn’t for me anymore. But I never stopped reading the forums; it was kinda like my replacement drug. A weird way of entertainment and I was still curious about what’s going on and how the game changes.
The forum kept me up to date and there was always a chance that the addiction comes back and I will start over again. Heck, Artist release would have been a comeback for me if it wasn’t for the gold nerfs that came along with it…
Without the forums I will finally be completely detached from the game and just forget about it. I won’t know about any upcoming changes or content updates and most likely I will just stop caring.
It’s kinda sad honestly. I dedicated a year of my life to the game and boy, it was fun! I guess it’s finally time to say goodbye.
Since I already quit the game, this is really goodbye.
I most likely won’t ever return to Lost Ark, because just going on break in this game means you’ve lost. No point in returning because you never truly catch up again.
I honestly also doubt Smilegate will ever fix their most crucial and controversial systems… because koreans appreciate these systems like they are right now. That’s their main market for the game, so it won’t change sadly.
Still, it was nice to give some people advice on things they didn’t know or have discussions with actual good people.
With that being said… and excluding some people from it… I wish everyone else a lot of fun with the rest of the days they spend on this game. Stay healthy and hopefully you find something else in gaming whatever comes after Lost Ark.
It was a year of anger sometimes, but also a lot of fun, gave me countless of hours I can spend on a game, something you rarely have these days with games being designed to fill 20-30 hours and then the dust eats them up in the shelf.
My hope for those that stick around is they take into account feedback from both sides. Turning a blind eye to valid criticism is never a winning formula and the truth of a matter always comes out in the end. Don’t tell everyone things are going to change, show us with your actions in a timely manner said changes.
PS- Legendary skins wake up it’s time. It’s an easy win. No more PR talk just stop. Implement them and take the W.

Discord is such an awful platform for feedback…and the problems are obvious to anyone who’s ever tried to use a game’s official discord. Favoritism, cliques, heavy handed moderation etc.
I was salty a lot on these forums but that’s because I see a great game here that’s sinking from practices that may work in Korea but don’t really fit everywhere else. I want it to succeed and hope it does.
I left the game long ago, after valtan release. The fight was amazing and I was left with a feeling that I couldn’t describe in words, I really enjoyed it a lot and I thought, it’s time to get on my alt that I was already close to the ilvl necessary for normal and that’s when I realized that I would Just to have another chance to do the fight again but the effort and dedication required (for someone with a full time job and a girlfriend) is too much, I left the game not because I thought it was bad but I really didn’t have time.
Even then I always read the forum because the truth is that it entertains me a lot, in my spare time or even when I’m bored at the office.
For me this is not the worst community or the most toxic environment or anything like that, if you had been in the league of legends season 1 forum you would know what I mean.

well thats the most accurate answer you can get for all these delusionals thinking this game is f2p friendly OR playable by normal people, there you have it, 2 alts was already too much for him, as it is for any other normative person out there
It was a very difficult decision to leave the game, the only thing I thought about was the time and dedication that I had put into the game (I didn’t care what I spent because I basically paid for a product that entertained me), but it hurt a lot quitting, I think it’s what one would normally call a bad addiction
The truth is that in all gaming forums there are people who openly criticize with resentment as if the game had killed their mother or something like that, but I agree with constructive criticism, basically you want the game to improve and that’s why you give your feedback
