That creates a lot of ppl mocking at the others, without even knowing that some classes bring other utilities than pure DPS and that their high DPS is even thanks to that… Everybody here thinks that except the Bard, all of the other classes are pure DPS competing like in WoW raids.
Also, it is COMPLETELY useless to see the MVP … when you have a Sorc in the party.

I don’t think the mvp system needs to leave, i just think they should have it as a seperate option to view highest dps or highest healing. And the MVP board isn’t the problem in regards to the toxicity. The toxicity is always going to be there MVP board or not, players will always find or make another way. It is true that they could make it not forced into the players face at the end of it and that would be a very welcome addition.
yep, if they don’t have mvp to brag, they’ll claim x player took more mechanics, or died more, as they already do… the mvp just switch the focus to a less problematic thing
MVP also counts recovery, stagger, item usage, party defense, self defense. It’s not pure DPS meter as you describe. But of course it doesn’t include many things which even can’t be measured by the game. That’s why Smilegate refused to add a DPS meter numerous times.
Ive never had a bad experience with this. At the end, the only thing said, if anything, is ‘gg’. Its kinda nice to see the mvp, if youre actually trying to get better.
I had a guardian raid 2 days ago, i wasnt mvp, but under the mvp was something like 40% stagger, 35% consumables, 30% damage. Instead of being mad, i thought 'ahh, yeah, i did miss a few chances to throw a bomb, and used my main stagger skill far to early. Then i try to improve myself.
Next time, i hope im closer to mvp, so i know im improving, and hopefully, the next person see’s the system like i did, to help them improve
I have 247 hours in game, and I have NEVER, NEVER, seen anyone say anything at the end of a group. They just leave. Or they say gg. That’s it
if anything, I’d expand it rather than remove it
If you are playing with randoms nobody will ever remember you and most likely never see you again. Who dafuq is “mocking” at the others for some internet video game points lol… I’ve never seen this happen and If you are a good player and know what the fuck are you doing, no matter what class you’re playing you can get mvp
I’ve played both EUC and EUW - one to T2 starting, another so far to mid T2.
No one ever used the board as toxic or insulting towards others. Ever.
And I matchmake as much as possible - hard dungeons, chaos, whatever
If anything, the board needs to EXPAND into letting us see our own results, regardless of others
Mmm. no. This system need actually more detailed scoreboards- How much dmg, damage taken, shields provided, heals provided, how much grenades used, hp potions used, counters, staggers.
People say “We dont need dps meter” because it makes game toxic, but I don’t see Lost Ark abyssal dungeons not being toxic. They wipe one time and it is all toxic flaming all over the place. Difference is that thanks to dps meters the toxicity in WoW is target on problems that lead to fixing it. While in Lost Ark the flaming is untargeted, not knowing what went wrong or who didn’t use grenades. In Lost Ark toxic flaming is going on so long until someones just leaves. I can bet that right now Lost Ark without dps meters is more toxic than playing M+ in WoW with dps meters.

I agree, I’d also like to see numbers on the side ones and something that shows me my numbers if I don’t make it on the chart - this way I can improve.
One option they could do for folks that do not want to see it is to have an option in the settings to have it on or off.
imagine waiting in a dungeon to see MVP. Song of escape before MVP screen even comes up.
The MVP system is quite possibly the most casual way to handle group contribution I’ve seen in a game.
Does anyone even care about MVP? It’s just braindead play for my zerker lol.
Personally I don’t mind the MVP screen being there but I do mind it taking up 1/2 the screen when it pops up, (especially on more aged PCs/laptops). It would be a nice touch if it was smaller and more discreet with features to customize the information on how you do on a fight following a button press to skip it if needbe.
