The solution to robots

From February to now, it has been more than three months, the number of people from the original breakthrough one million to tens of thousands of players now. It’s been confirmed that no new players have entered, 99 percent of them are scripted and the studio has a lot of clone bots.It costs them nothing to create an account, and the game doesn’t charge for it, likeDoes Amazon really care about the bot epidemic? I doubt they just want to keep their server numbers onlineThis way the player can’t tell what the game is about by looking at its peakHowever, this approach is silly if a game has too many bad reviews I believe that if the bar was raised to $20 to $50 to register for a game,Can say no to robo-script players who want to get something for nothing,There may be some players who bring new friends into the game.Opening up mail and face to face transactions but not stopping RMTS is the funniest thing in 2022Or to cancel the server to register new accounts, it is obvious that there are no new players,

The bar doesn’t even have to be that high. They run enough bots that hundreds of thousands are online at any hour of the day, and they do that because each bot is only going to generate a couple of bucks worth of gold before it gets banned. If they told all players that they must buy $10 worth of royal crystals before they’re able to trade gold or items with other players, these bots would all become a net loss and they’d all (or basically all) go to another game

The best solution I heard was to prevent new players from joining full servers. This forces bots into smaller pop servers. This ruins the experience for new players, but it stops bots from interacting with established servers. Then they can focus on banning the few bots on the established servers and the newer servers will have too much competition to be worth botting (or be too laggy with long queues).

That is horrible. It prevents players from playing with each other. If I decided to finally get into a game to play with my friends, I would NOT touch it after finding out I can only do cross-server activities with them. Just to make it so that gold sellers use the auction house more instead of mailing? It does nothing.

The guy before you basically solved it all. Literally a 10$ paywall to trade. Fixes a vast majority of botting.

I prefer paywalls as well. That’s is how Path of Exile and Warframe works. I think a bad solution is to do what Black Desert Online did and make the game $5. That greatly restricts new player interest in the game. I was just offering something that keeps the game truely F2P, and I heard it’s what they did in KR.

Just punish correctly the buyers

Ru has been able to effectively ban robots. Amazon has been unable to effectively ban robots for nearly four months. On the contrary, they also use 500K robots and 150k players to tell everyone how popular the game is

The game is very much dead in Russia, like 20,000 players left. The bots just don’t have enough demand in Russia to make good money so they don’t bot it anywhere near as much as they do in the west

Just punish the gold buyers and go for 2FA

although there are few players in Ru, only 10k-20k. There are robots there. They ban robots very hard and will recover the gold produced by robots
