Hello there fellow players and staff of Lost ark,
Im here to talk about the TRUE problem Lost Ark is facing and that can POTENTIALLY cut the player base due to frustration.
As its well known, its announced a potential NERF to tier 1 and 2 content due to “its difficulty” BUT the sad truth its that the game is not that difficult. The absolute main problem is the WHOLE Lost Ark community in general…
You see the main problem of the community its that they all want to steamroll through the game content, like its a traditional rpg where you speedrun, upgrade your gear touch all buttoms boom boss dead.
And that kind of thinking its whats damaging the game right now, people queue up without even knowing what the boss does, they ignore even the most obvious mechanics like stagger checks where the game CLEARLY shows you a big yellow bar right down the boss and lead to a total team wipeout over and over again because they dont care, they just want to be carried and they dont take a miserable ammount of time to learn what the boss does, how to avoid its attacks,etc.
Now, the problem is on matchmaking exclusively you think? Well… I dont think so…
Even in custo lobbys where you specify people knowing the mechanic and bringing nades there is absolute liers that just see the lobby as an easy opportunity to get carried by people who know how to play, and continuosly lead the teams to compleate disaster and waste of time and resources.
ITS NOT THE CONTENT that is leading the players to be frustrated it is its own community what makes someone like me who watches the videos, execute the mechanics, bring the nades and potions and its willing to spend them to actually quit the game.
Because how on earth it takes someone who perfectly knows the mechanics, 20 retrys with different partys to clear an alaric sanctuary?!
And when you ask if they know the mechanic they say yes… But oh look, we wiping on a miserable stagger check or an arrow formation.
So yeah, no offense but its not honing on tier 1 and tier 2 what leads to frustration, its the ammount of players who dosent care about anything other than just get to tier 3 fast without even knowing the game they are playing what leads to frustration. In any case honing should be double the difficulty to ensure people staying lower and learn BASIC game mechanics in order to progress…
So yeah, in conclussion what its going to end up killing a great game its not the game itself, its their own players and their laziness.
