I often work overseas and use a VPN on a regular basis. I never had an issue playing an MMO while using one until now. The policy of disallowing customers from using your service on the basis of internet traffic source is the only thing keeping me from playing the game. I instead turn to other MMOs like Runescape and FF14 because they let me login.
