There NEEDS to be a warning that maintenance taking down the servers makes you lose your content lockout

I got disconnected in Valtan today, and could not relog in time, so I got kicked out because of disconnecting for too long. When I log back in to the game, it says that I finished the raid and did not refound my entry ticket! Are you guys serious? I didn’t even finish the raid , come on man. I’m so disappointing at this time. Because of the non-scheduled maintenance, our Valtan raid got pushed back again and again, and now I didnt even get a reentry ticket because of a dc.

Still no re entry ticket and its been 48 hours, sad that all these months of grind built up to being locked out the first week because of a maintenance for DANCE emote “hotfix”. No other MMO/rpg would lock you out for a maintenance especially when its one of the biggest content patches we have had in this game to date. Our group only had time to raid on Friday night, we pushed for kill until the servers went down. Not ONCE did we get notice that our group would be punished for pushing a boss until server maintenance… maybe do a maintenance on daily reset times instead of 3 hours before the daily routine reset? Like who thought that would be a good idea?

its mind boggling that we haven’t gotten a reply from a CM all day today I just got back from work and expected SOMETHING to have been said.

The biggest NA/EU Lost Ark content patch so far and hundreds/thousands of players lose their valtan entry ticket because they played at the wrong time…

Nothing in the maintenance message about losing your entry ticket.

From what i’ve read other regions have ways to deal with this happening but I guess ours doesn’t? Shouldn’t they have the same tools or capability…

No one is asking for an advantage, they just want to play the content they’ve been waiting months for and spent hundreds of hours pushing 1445 for…

I don’t understand, is everyone saying you literally can’t do Valtan anymore if the servers go down while you’re doing it?

Re-entrance tickets from SG/Amazon aside, how does that even make sense? Or am I misunderstanding the issue here?

Why the fuck would this situation eat your entrance if you haven’t claimed any rewards from the gate? Shouldn’t you just be able to re-enter? Wtf?

You are understanding the issue correctly. My group and I was sitting in the circle that you can change your equipment in talking in discord about when we would come back to finish phase 2 after trying for 3 hours that night. And we log in the next day for us all to be locked out.

i know how u feel guys… lost argos when euc died few hours after south vern patch
and same system they proudly announced failed so miserably

This is exactly the situation, and AGS doesn’t care.

We were given no warning or information with the in game message about our valtan entry being stripped from us.

I would expect an “outage issue on the game server side” to be anything from server crash, restart or shutdown. When will we receive our re-entry tickets, and will they have to be used this week now that all our schedules are out?

Pretty demoralizing to the players that will now be a week behind the rest of the player base unaffected by this bug. We’d appreciate an official response at the very least.

Outage definition: a period when a power supply or other service is not available or when equipment is closed down.

At this point, we’re starting to go down the line of false advertising and should be retroactively reimbursed our re-entry tickets. Then you can amend what constitutes an “outage issue on the game server side” and specify this does not include maintenance if that’s AGS stance in the future. Until such point, it’s your legal responsibility to rectify the issue with your customers, even if that means spending some of AGS’ resources to do so. That would entail less than a day’s work for a single developer to write software that queries your database and identifies players that have been affected by AGS’ bugged system that is not doing what was advertised.

You guys did a hot fix because one of the bugs prevented vertical progression for Express characters.

I can’t progress vertically because of the Valtan lock out :slight_smile: Please fix

Any progress on this. For people who have been grinding for this moment this is a huge setback to have to cope with. Not only loss of materials, loss of gold, loss of morale, loss of time, but also loss of enjoyment because we cannot do the content even though we’ve worked hard to get there. This should be considered very seriously. I never write on forums or complain vocally because I understand problems happen but this is insanity.

So I guess the answer is even if there was an unannounced emergency maintenance only communicated 60 seconds before, it is our fault for not being able to exit within that one minute.

Moving forward, that means that if someone requests to quit a dungeon, make sure to always vote yes. It’s because if your server suddenly needs to get restarted within the next minute, you will not be able to enter Valtan anymore since they have no qualms ripping away your entry from you for not exiting in 1 minute’s notice.

And also never ever play legion raids over Thursday, Friday and maybe even Saturday because once again, if you get caught with a 1 minute shutdown, you are absolutely screwed immediately and you no longer deserve to be able to play Valtan for the week.

Honestly the worst move to do a hotfix on a Friday evening, and saturday for some, after a big update.

It’s like the basics of basics NOT to do a maintenance or hotfix of some sort before weekend, unless it’s well prepared for, which in this case, not.

This could’ve been prevented by adding one additional sentence with the in game notice.

Players can’t prevent something from happening that they don’t even know exists.
