These anti-BOT steps need to be taken NOW, till AGS figures a long term solution

@Roxx Current state of botting in NA West is out of control. There is several thousands queue at any given time, and once you can finally log in there is significant lag in cities like Vern have 5+ channels buzzing with nonstop zerker/sorc bots running in swarms with barely any real players. Economy is in shambles with anything that a player could farm and sell is farmed to worthlessness by hundreds of thousands of bots, yet things that matter increase in price since RMTers are buying them with gold printed by again hundreds of thousands of bots.

I get that you have a ‘team’ working on the issue and that it is a ‘long fight’, but something has to be done RIGHT NOW, till that ‘team’ figures out how to find a sustainable solution. That action is simple:

  1. Limit new account creation to Trusted Steam Accounts only.
  2. Limit selling things on AH to Trusted Steam Accounts only as well. (which is how bots transfer their gold to each other)
  3. Hire a GM to look at AH for gems and accessories that are posted for ridiculous prices (which is how RMT works, RMT player posts a worthless gem for 200.000 then goldseller buys it). You wont need a GM per channel/city/server. One GM PER region to look at AH is enough (AH is shared).

Once your ‘team’ figures out a working long term solution these can be undone. These actions have to be taken NOW, not in incremental steps over a few months. So far everything your ‘team’ has done has proven entirely ineffective. Putting those measures in will give your ‘team’ enough time to figure things out or hire better talent, because so far they have just proven that they are entirely out of their dept.

I think they are very much aware of the situation and don’t need new threads repeating the same thing daily like a broken record.

Not to be mean but it’s getting tiring seeing bots in game and in the forums.

Don’t worry once there are no more bots in game, those threads will stop too!

And if those threads stops before bots are gone from the game, it means people stopped giving AGS another chance and moved on (which results in situation like new world…).

Those threads emerge when people see they have 6k+ queue to wait and come to forums. If they could just get into the game and play they wouldnt be wasting time on forums (unlike whiteknights who claim to love the game yet spend all their time on forums complaining about negative threads :thinking: )

If people stop complaining about a HUGE problem blocking a lot of people from playing the game, or making the experience in game worse (coming probably soon to EUC aswell, judging by how servers are getting “Busy” earlier and earlier in the day), it just means these people gave up. They accepted the fact that it’s no use to try, and moved on to another game or anything.

And you don’t have to click and read every single posts about bots.
