They banned RMT which includes big guilds.
They also banned hardware IP changers or restrict them.
Players think they only banned bots. lol

One major thing you have to remember that is different about this banwave of bots is that the new bots have to got through the Trusted process again. The accounts they just banned were all grandfathered in through the Trusted process so that legit players didn’t get affected. Now all their new accounts will need to go through it. We’ll see how well that works out now. I wondered why they would grandfather in all the bot accounts without doing a ban like this. Now we know that hopefully knew this was coming.
One big reason for this post is that. If it is true, then why AGS is not letting us know as they did with the bot ban wave. We need to know this so people start fearing to buy gold from bots because they can lose things (consequences)
That should always be in the equation if players do something illegal.
I don’t think AGS needs to remind players that. If you venture into the minds of a criminal everything they do is good or for their own good. Nothing will change if the exact players decided to make a new account and RMT again.
The only thing I hate is that AGS decided to ban them to the degree of bought gold. 100k per month… kinda awful punishment. Maybe they have other risk assessments they concluded
Exactly criminals don’t commit crimes unknowing of the potential consequences. In fact many know that once they’ve committed a crime once that there is little reason to fear because they already will get punished when they get caught. It’s always a matter of when they get caught and how long they can push that off. Few actually do it for limited period and then just stop forever. It’s either extremely lucrative and they’ll do it as long as that lasts or its out of necessity in which case the consequences are just a cost of doing business.
Well since everyone is saying that more than half of players are buying gold from bots, I believe is necessary for AGS to let us know about the consequences that they have implemented. Is like saying, we know AGS is against bots, they don’t need to tell us that they banned wave them, yet they did tell us.
There are still bots in that number. I saw them doing the normal rounds.
Look, I got banned for RMT before. let me tell you that the Bots Heavily sway this. goes from making RMT worth it, to not worth it.
If you look at the RMT markets (no names) at the moment, They were smashed last night. making it not worth buying.
I hope so, but see that is good info, if true. I don’t get why AGS would not want to spread the word of that
Sure but are they trusted accounts that can trade or use the market?
ye, they still sniping AH low gem prices like normal here, just tried putting couple gems under price and insta snipe within 0.5s after posting the gem
That’s a gem buyer running a script something completely different than those bots. Lots of people have been gem buying, fish buying, sniping for low items for a while now.
I think KR bans bots bi weekly and they show community how many each time
names, etc.
shaming culture

Number of pages of gems. Down to 836 from 1200 yesterday and 60k when the bots were active. If they are doing something in game, its not farming gems and selling them yet which means they either aren’t running chaos dungeons or if they are they can’t sell the gems. So they can make 100k bots if they can’t trade they are useless.
The big ban was on a Tuesday night in West.
It is Friday some of them are LEGIT players.
Yes, I agree they need to PERMA banned RMT. But they are actual “metrics” when dealing with a real player. An actual potential customer… not like bots.
So it can pretty much sum it up like this movie clip Starring.
AGS/Smilegate as the cop
Bots as the thief
